@KATHYY4 Please don't feel discouraged because of your doubts, instead, use them, and the pain and sorrow they may bring, to draw closer to our Lord. Many of the saints (e.g. Teresa of Avila, John of the Cross, Mother Teresa of Calcutta) experienced what is called a Dark Night of the Soul--a spiritual experience in which the comfort of feeling God's presence and love disappears. This does not mean that God abandoned them, or that they were not faithful Christians. What it means is that...
...we are human, and as humans, we are subject to the pains of ever changing emotions or doubts. These saints were holy because they persevered in their love of Christ, even when they did not feel His comfort or peace. Please remember that our faith is not one of feelings and emotions, but of truth and love (love which is not an emotion, but an act of the will to give oneself completely to the beloved). I am also going through difficulties in my spiritual life, but I hope you will join me...
...in refusing to let our emotions control us. Our emotions can come an go; one day we may feel that we are loved by God, the next day, we may not even feel the peace of knowing that God exists at all. The mark of a true Christian is not that he is never assaulted by these emotions, but that through it all, he holds fast to the truth which he knows by intellect and faith, that regardless of what he might feel, God does love us, and He is ever-present in our lives and in all of creation.
If your doubts come in the form of questions, do not be afraid of them. Stand up and face them, identify them, express them in analytical terms, and then seek out the answers. If you are Catholic, take heart in knowing that our Lord promised that the gates of Hell would never prevail against Holy Mother Church; Christ has bestowed upon his Bride, the Church, the answers to the hard questions that arise in our journeys of faith. Go to the Church and ask your questions with courage; our...
...Lord said that those who seek will find, and if you confront the questions that trouble you with courage, and ask for the answers, God will bring you to the knowledge you seek. If, however, your doubts are not in the form of true questions, but in the form of pain at the absence of feeling the comfort of God that you used to feel, please do not give up. I also feel this, and I think all the faithful feel this pain at some point in their lives. In our every day, human lives, emotions...
...come and go; do not let this trouble you. In a marriage, the emotions between spouses might wane as time goes on. Christian spouses, however, do not say that because their emotions are now less, they no longer love each other, rather, they say that when the emotions associated with love begin to erode, they then love each other more perfectly, because their love (an act of the will to give oneself completely to the beloved) is refined in the fires of trial and hardship. Love is greatest...
...when it reflects the love of Christ, who suffered and died for us. The pinacle of our Lord's love for us did not occur when he entered Jerusalem to the acclamations and cheers of the people, but when he hung, bloodied, broken and mocked on the cross. Our Lord told us that the servant would not be greater than the Master. We are the servants, so we must not be surprised when we are called to love Christ as He loved us: in pain and loneliness.
If God has allowed the comforting feelings of His presence to leave you, do not think it is because there is something wrong with you. God allows this to occur because He loves you. By allowing you to feel this pain, he is asking you to embrace him on the cross. Christ allows us to suffer so that we may be nearer to Him; in our pain, we can draw closer to the God who immersed Himself in suffering for the sake of His love for us. If you feel depressed and hurt because of your lack of...
...feeling God's presence, offer that to him as a sacrifice. Tell Christ that you will accept this suffering for love of Him, as He stretched out his arms to embrace the suffering of the cross for love of us. Please, friend, don't give in to your pain; I think I have felt what you are feeling now, and I know have frightening it can be. Do not let anything separate you from Christ. If loneliness and pain come to you, rejoice in the Spirit and know that Christ is welcoming you to...
...join him in the very Love that He poured out for us on the cross. I hope that you see this, and that it will be of some help to you. If you want, please feel free to contact me (I will keep a watch on this video if you want to post a comment to what I have said). Above all, remember what our late Holy Father John Paul II said, "Do not be afraid." No matter what you are facing, don't be afraid. Face whatever you are struggling with and deal with it couragously. God be with you.

Good video, although I don't see how it's supposed to be explicitly catholic, or have anything to do with our catholic identity.
If you want to make it more catholic, I would suggest you put the Gloria Patre (Glory Be) in Latin.

It is Catholic because it is based on the work of St. Francis de Sales' Introduction to the Devout Life :) It's actually quite good...check it out!
