My Grandma (Thelma Thomas) and I used to attend his Sunday Services.That was Late 70's to early 80s...I miss his Preaching and the dancing lol..

Very good. But gifts dont prove nothing its the fruits that God is looking for.

Also prosperity is awful - rich, increased with goods and need of nothing (revelation 3).

what how is prosperity awful? i thought god wanted his people to prosper not only finicial but spiritually the root of all evil is the love of money but if god can trust you with prosperity that you will do what he has ordained for us to do with prosperity he will continue to bless you wasnt job one of the richest people in the bible

Prosperity is ok. God is a God of abundance and loves blessing His children. But why should i live in luxury when the world starves? When children in uganda have to eat rocks to satisfy their hunger? Where little kids walk miles to get a glass of water. The bible says gain is not godliness. Bless you.

yeah the only thing is that im seeking to find a church home in which they are teaching spiritual warfare and suffering for christ because so many are focusing on jumping and shouting and putting on a show and i need solid teaching where the word is being sowed. I have no problem with praising GOD and worshipping but when it becomes a show focused on anything other than GOD than it becomes self exaultation and entertainment.

I have listened to both of these great men of God. What a blessing. I miss my Holiness, Pentecostal, Holy Ghost, Devil-rebukin', Tongue talking Preaching Father. We have big shoes to fill. God help us to hit the mark and not fall short of the sacred trust that's been committed to us.

@420rules420 It simply means that the church is independent. FGHT is pentecostal, but it's independent, meaning it's not under the jurisdiction of a denomination. The Assemblies of God, The Church of God in Christ, PAW, Foursquare, or UPCI are pentecostal denominations with thousands of churches under their jurisdiction. Its a matter of distinction with differences.
