And this is also possible with other European countries but it needs to be in Euro zone so not all European countries have this possibilities. Only Dutch people can't cross cars from an other countries and for example German can cross the border using the car of a different nationality.

Also the part you drove through in the NEtherlands is about the ugliest you can find in Holland. Holland is beautiful but most tourists think Amsterdam is Holland and that's it. Come to the east or south and see beautiful Holland.
