I stried out this sampler pack and I love it so far. Only thing is that some flavors seem to give off more vape than others...But overall pretty good vape across the board. I dont get the similar tastes that the reviewer does I think they all taste quite different. Also I should mention that I came from smoking Marlborough menthal cigs (about half a pack a day sometimes more)
@BeHempy glad to hear from people who enjoy their juice - i definitely need to try them out again. more vapor than others is mostly likely due to the about of VG in the juice and/or less/more alcohol. i definitely agree all the juices taste different but there's this underlying signature taste i personally found but that's why juice review are so subjective =P thanks for the comment and happy vaping!
I tried a few other juices that just totally turned me off from vaping, but after giving it one last shot with JC, I've completely made the switch now!
Other than that, if you're used to smoking really cheap cigarettes, then I could see why some people might not like JC, but I wouldn't say this would hit home with only ex-pipe smokers imo. =/
@illincrux definitely to-each-is-own on JC juice, i mean they're thriving so i've got to be in the minority here, i've got to go back and see if their flavor profile has changed but it'll be a while before that happens. really glad you found something to keep you from smoking though - happy vaping and it's always great to hear about different opinions =]
@Bones98 hmmm... flavor fading with time maybe be because it's alcohol based? not sure. anyhow great to hear that there are people that enjoy JC juice and are speaking out =]
I used to like several of their PG flavors, but the glycol taste is just too noticeable now. So now I only order the Red Oak flavors, which are either reduced PG or completely vegetable glycerine. In particular, I still like their "Island" and "Valencia" flavors. The Valencia flavor is unlike any of their other fruit flavors. Very clean orange flavor with no aftertaste. I steer clear of PG at all costs now. It's just my taste though. Thanks for the good review.
@phee303 Yeah man! There RED OAK Line are 100% PG (Propylene Glycol) Free Formula it's a VG Based Formula (Vegetable Glycerin) I think this would be more suitable for people who are allergic to PG Based Smoke Juices or E-Juices.
@ENVYJEWELRY i do prefer having some VG in my juices but this line just had this signature taste on the juices that i've tried that just doesnt meld with me =P i think they offer VG mixes now as well
@ENVYJEWELRY i do prefer having some VG in my juices but this line just had this signature taste on the juices that i've tried that just doesnt meld with me =P i think they offer VG mixes now as well
@Jchar1027 you're definitely in the majority =P i thought they'd change the flavors since i first tried them but i guess not, they're an awesome company but their juices are so controversial lol
Johnson Creek is one of my favorites, Ive never been grossed out with them but in the sampler pack i got I could barely taste any of them except the fruit flavors. But French Vanilla,Expresso and Tenn Cured all tasted the same. Still like their others though
@TigertailzBezerk its nice to hear from someone who likes their juice - most of the time i get comments of agreement but so rare that someone likes their juice, deffinitely more power to you =] there's just this weird taste they have that doesnt meld well with me. but yeah, definitely awesome to hear from people who are keeping the vendor a float! =]
@TigertailzBezerk Definitely "niche" juice and not one that I personally liked either. I agree, there's that one ingredient in all of them that you know it's JC stuff you're vaping and you either love it or you hate it.
I agree with the Phee's review. I hated it. Great bottles and service, though. Shame I didn't like it.
@mmogbytes I made another order with them a few months ago right after my comment, And decided it's not for me anymore. That certain base flavor I figured out tastes like buttered popcorn to me. Just not diggin em anymore. But there are those that swear by it ofcourse,. Which is always good to know they can keep their business alive. But i've moved on to others
Man, why didn't I listen to you... I got the sampler pack (original) and all of the flavors do have this underlying taste, unfortunately it''s an unpleasant taste.,
@cpuken lol its definitely niche but there are a ton of people out there that love their stuff, i guess we just fall under the "not for me" category =]
@cpuken hmmm... well, black tea from TW, clove essence from ELP, tobacco tango from vaporskitchen, PV red hots from primevaping, berrotica from puresmoker, thats all i can think of at the moment, i've created some amazing juices that i are perfect for my taste so for the most part i vape my own juices =T
Review is pretty much right on. When I took my first vape of JC it was pretty good, but from that point on it went down hill. The aftertaste slowly became a huge problem where I could no longer use their e juice. Its also very hard clean atomizers used with JC liquid. The aftertaste lingers for quite awhile.
@dananoah yes i couldnt agree more, i hear they may have changed their juices recently so i cant say anything for recent stuff but at the time the JC stuff (IMO) is pretty bad =T still though premium tobacco smokers may like it >_<
"Like the juice was soaked in wood or something" That made me lol
I like JC. You're right on describing the "base" woody aroma. I enjoy that base they use. That said, I have never smoked a pipe. I smoked american spirits.
I've only tried JC and generic chinese (dekang i think) stuff, which seemed too artificially flavored. I enjoy JC because it seems more natural flavored. I use Peach, Cherry, and original.
Phee, any non-JC juice you like you could recommend I try?
@Kafiristanica lol yeah, i need to revisit JC again though, its been well over a year and i think maybe their recipes have changed a bit =P really JC stuff is a definite preference thing ^_^
sure! a couple of my favorite juices come from two places: the tonic line from puresmoker and the essence line from eliquidplanet both are fantastic juices! thanks for the view and comment =]
I couldn't agree more with your review. I just received the sampler pack today and every single one of the "Flavours" smell like old burnt tires. Every single one has the same nasty taste. I have all of my cartridges soaking in soap and water to try to get the funk out. Yuck. About a year ago I bought Johnson's Creek "Arctic Mint" it was alright (which is why I went and bought more of their stuff). They've definitely changed their recipe for the worse.
How can you tell if the juice has gone bad, I just purchased JC Expresso & don't really care for it but don't want to throw it away. What happens if you vape a "bad" juice?...moldy lungs?...bad smell (it smells bad when it's brand new!)?
@nomoresmokes yeah, i have the JC sample pack and i absolutely hate the tastes and i still have the whole damn pack in my fridge! hahaha in my experience bad juice will have a immediate recognizable bad taste and smell, you can also sometimes tell by the color of the juice, some juices will go extremely dark when they go bad but taste a sure way to tell. i havent had a juice expire on me yet except some i've left in the sun as for expiration date i havent had it happen yet
@soldevil2002 i'll have to try and mixup some newer flavors but my problem is there's just this underlying flavor that all the JC stuff has that i cannot stand but thanks for the suggestion
no special requirements. the parts are as quality as chinese parts get i guess lol i just like their variety and prices, i can't really comment too much about the parts, personally i haven't had any trouble with anything from them =]
no, they've been pretty reliable - you have to keep in mind that they're in Asia so shipping does take some time and during chinese new year they closed out for like a week but other than that they're pretty good
I am brand new to e-cigs (3 wks) & wonder if there are e-juice's that are not good for you. I ordered the 801 passthru & I love it! But I'm glued to the computer because I don't get the same experience with the e-cigs that I can carry around.
Is there something out there that is similar to the passthru?
I saw your video about the screwdriver...would this be close to the passthru?
welcome to the world of vaping! umm.. there's tons of info on the ECF, vapers forum and nu-vapor if you need anything. i'm assuming you quit analogs and switched to ecigs and since you're somewhat experienced now i would suggest a SilverBullet from Altsmoke or ProdigyV2 from Puresmoker, when you try something highvoltage you'll freaking love it! 801 or 510 HV is something you've got to at least try!
thanks for the view and comment, let me know if you need any more info, happy to help =]
I think it has like a popcorn taste..... So I made a bag of Orville Redenbacher's..... I agree 100%. My first e-liquid was Johnson Creek original flavored. It tasted like I was throwing up in my mouth. I wondered if their flavored juice was different, but I think you answered that for me. I'll steer clear of JC. Keep up the great vids.
