man, its either you vary smart and you managed the neck pretty good and you can take care of it, if so I salute you... the other option is that you dont know how to manage the neck, and that will be sad... very sad...
Yep its off a left handed tele, It was an Ebay find pretty cheap to, from a discarded guitar build project. I tried to used found objects and recycled materials for this build. For example the wood the body is made from is from an old boat keel and the metal components are from an air con. unit.
yjam2000, making your pu's isn't as hard as you would think. Farnell or newark are good sources fo magnets but finding the correct size wire can be hard. The cash you save by making the pu's really makes it worth doing as is the resulting sound. If you mail me ill give you more info. jcavanagh(@)gmail
GORGEOUS pickups! Tell me about what you are plugging this into. Because something in this chain sounds amazing- your pickups or the body or the amp or something.
Body is a super hard wood that has been aged over a period of 40yrs so it resonates extremely well. The pickups are hand wound (To 6.5K) that adds a seriously vintage sound to the instrument. After the guitar is a boss OD1 with the distortion turned down followed by a Boss DD3 W/mild reverb. The amp is a battery powered Honeytone probably putting out about 2watts. Goes to show you don't have to spend thousands to get a great sound.
Homemade guitar, neck from ebay. What does not sound right here?

Dude! Take the neck off that train wreck, put it on a Tele body and burn the rest of it! This thing is an atrocity.
