How did the artist do that? I would say he works with two different programms.

1. macromedia flash or something like that

2. adobe after effects?!

I would say that he started with drawing.

Than he made a video of his hand-moving.

At least he connects these two things.

Just think about this ...impossible. maybe he´s a magician.. Just think about that!!

@Feddtonii no they do the animattion on a software and then they add the hand by re trasing everythig they already did its a super long and hard proces.

What you explained there is just way too complicated and time consuming, use your logic:

1. he records himself drawing;

2. he moves his hands to emulate the pre-planned animation;

3. he edits the frames of his recording and animates his drawings;

4. he makes a really interesting video out of it.

PS: I believe he used an open source, free software called Pencil to animate.
