that's only the new barracks. I lived in a building from the '50's where I shared a room with with another person. the room was only 10' X 12' and the only privacy we had was putting 2 wall lockers in between our beds. There is only once bathroom for each gender on each floor. Each bathroom only had 4 toilets, 4 urinals, 4 showers, and 4 sinks. Imagine trying to squeeze 50+ guys in a bathroom like that after PT.
this is a huge lie, dont think youll get the "modernized barracks"... you will get a run down black mold house or a barracks room 1 room 1 bathroom and 1 roomate that you can see ALL of the time not seperate rooms
@krysistheabyss .....Well 101st is Air borne not air assult. they teach Air Assult there and have Companys of Air Assault.... Talk to your branch manager. Good Luck
17 Miles? It takes an hour to get to Nashville. I hated this place. Its nothing in Hopkinsville, one mall which is about 20 miles away and a movie theater.
hell naw, my battery out of Germany was attached to the 101st in Iraq in 2006. I saw a lot of people I went to AIT with in Iraq. Every soldier I talked with in Iraq from FT. campbell hated it. Naw, that's one place I'll skip. I'd rather take Ft. Bragg, NC There's an old saying. Once a soldiers goes to Ft. Campbell, his or her ass will always come back.
@canibus19 It is true. I'm in the high school here, and I can't count how many people who say its the oh-so-many time they've been here. And all they do is deploy here
my favorite post EVER!!!!! i loved the grass.. i loved the people there, the TN and KY people are all so active in there community! and friendly...and the parks were amazing. :)

Fort Campbell High School Football team just won their 3rd straight Kentucky Class 2A Championship. That is simply amazing considering it is one of only 2 bases in the world that has it's own high school. Then you factor in families PCS in and out at a moments notice. Yet they still keep winning championships. That's some serious coaching and dedication right there.
@peeweemoses I heard a story on NPR about the team and they have an awesome coaching staff for those coaches to step in and fill the parental role for the kids with deployed parents. I remember going to a few games back when I was stationed there in 95-96.
