Nice radio. I wouldn't paint that chassis - it looks fine to me. Most likely it's the cadmium that's discolored. I only paint them when they're really rusted out.
@bandersentv Thanks- Yah I am still debating...... It's alot of work to mask everything off and paint them...... Any suggestions for cleaning / lightening the discolorations ?????

@farmall1938 Metal polish like Simichrome. Or if it's really bad, rust remover. The acid in it does a really nice job of cleaning steel and cadmium.
