Ace, telling the story straight.

I use digital in the same way. It's cool gear, and who doesn't get off on playing around with new toys, but ultimately, it does not give him what he wants.

Analog circuitry, audio recording, photography, video, typography and printing (offset print press) and all its materiality: 2" tape, 35mm film, hot press paper, dyes and inks, and vinyl records will never die.

I agree about the Film vs. Digital. Digital is cool, easy & convenient, But Film is the Best. Capturing images on a roll of film with the look you want, proper lighting, and correct exposure is more difficult. But it is more creative, artistic, and satisfying. A true craft for a real photographer & cinematographer.

We don't even realize that, but most of us become victims of the digital revolution. But no worries. That won't be for too long. In music, analog is back, and strong. I mean, did Stenway & Sons go out of business because of Casio and Yamaha home keyboards? No. Is pressing a key with one finger to make music more rewarding than playing the piano? No. It's getting a spectatucal shot with a wooden pinhole camera more rewarding than a digital snap?  God yes! It's all about satisfaction.
