mahalaga ang dynamics sa pagkanta sa choir. di gaganda ang kanta kapag walang ganun. vibrato na din.. at higit sa lahat, dapat maging BALANSE ang mga boses ng bawat isa..:D

that's true, but the balance was hard to achieve kasi po hindi namin naririnig ang kung anong naririnig sa mic ng studio. this was recorded sa TV na eh. :)

and like I said, lahat po ng nandito sa video na 'to graduate na po. :))

:) the set up wasn't too choir-friendly. nasa harap lang at wala sa likod.

In any case, lahat po nang nandito sa video ay grumaduate na. :) 4 years ago pa po ito. :)

you really need improvement. and i think nde na kayo ang problem eh, i think the problem is with the conductor na. kung mgling naman ang conductor, gagaling din ang grupo.:D

^_^ Naku, kulang lang po kasi talaga kame sa time. Hindi po kasi namin plinano na sumali, biglaang lang po. At lalong hindi po namin ineexpect na manalo. :))

Pero yes, tama po kayo. It needs improvement -- and a LOT of it. But oh well, yun po ang problem sa school choir, no chance to ever really improve kasi palaging nagpapalit po ng members. :( sayang.

I hope magaganda naman yung mga kuwento nya about us. Mrs. Sison was our Music teacher and she was our pianist during our singing engagements and during our contests. Shangrila Mall, SM North Edsa, and Ali-Mall. Congrats for winning the contest. Ilan kayong groups ang naglaban2x dito? I must say though, the group needs a lot of improvement. hehehe. And the choreo ha? Si mam ba ang nagturo? Syang-sya eh?

Over-all, Im proud of you my fellow Himig Xientians.

Nagkaron po ng weekly elims and monthly elims. Nung finals na, ang kalaban po namin dalawang college choirs. @_@ Hahaha!

And opo, si ma'am lomibao nga po. :))

Sayang nga po dahil lahat po sa amin na anjan eh, grumaduate na po.

WOW. Grabe nice to see the Himig Scientia is still existing. I miss the group, Mam Lomibao and Mam Sison. I think the golden years of Himig is from SY 91-93. We joined and won many chorale competitions during those times. Are those vests and alampays the ones we used before? I think we have those made from our winnings from the contests. hahahaha. If I'm correct, grabe na-preserve ha. Galing!!!

I owe Himig a lot. Btw, I was a tenor1, Himig Scientia batch 1993. Go Himig Scientia!!!

:D Marami pong nakwento sa amin si Mrs. Lomibao (hindi na po namin naabutan si Ma'am Sison) tungkol sa mga previous Himig batches. :p Indeed, we recycled part of the costume. :))

uhmm i did listen to it for like 3 times. guys sounded very immature. the bass part on the intro was not very bass-like. i was looking for sop1's "sa belen" part where they would stand out.

Hindi naman po namin sinasabi na we're the best eh. :p and I'm not saying we *sounded* the best here (on the contrary, i cringe when i listen to this). But at least give us credit for winning the judges with our smiles and projection. hahaha. :D

Not much has changed, even the choreography. The whole song and the way it was sang, pretty much the same. Is your uniform the same (the blue stripes with a stupid bow in your chest? - coz as far as I can remember, it looks like a tablecloth. :D

Oh wow... so that's where ma'am got the choreography! I didn't know it went back that long. @_@ heehee. ^^,

Yes, our uniform's still the same. :) Would you believe one of my classmates saw (much to her horror) the same cloth being used as curtains for a bus? geesh. I sure am glad I wasn't the one who saw it. I wouldn't be caught dead wearing the same cloth as the bus curtains! hehe. :) By the way, I heard that around your time, Himig Scientia was very very good. ^_^

We've got several very good singers way back then. Back then, being a Scientians mean so much, and enrollment in such schools were prestigious. I'm sure it is still the same as of now.

In a way, it feels quite good to know things have been pretty much the same, but it also makes me wonder if Science High Schools in the Phils. have made every effort to maintain their status as the "best" high schools. Science, as you know, is dynamic and so should a Scientian education.

I graduated from QCSHS in the '70's and this was our choir song in Himig Scientia before. Goodness! Not much has changed, believe me!!!!
