Hospitals,fire stations and police station are different from leisure and education when it comes to range and satisfaction so you can demolish smaller ones and replace with bigger ones.Look at 'range' at the information tab pop up after you place mouse pointer there.It will help you a lot.

Yeah you could actually play online in the first cities xl, they removed it because there were almost no subscribers. It was also really expensive, which is the reason i didnt do it

I'd like to make people-only city (you can in Simcity 4) and have them work elsewhere. However, it does not work like that here. Citizens traded are just another resource, not actual workers. You can only "spend" them on Blueprints, nothing else.

here is a little bit of advice. When free zoning join the roads in the middle to intersections that are already made to keep traffic down

In first Cities XL was a multiplayer part, trading with other players, etc. But they removed it for some reason.
