I have a gtx 260 and this processor and i have never seen less than 200fps. Memory RAM isn't very important. 4gb is enough for most people and use the money left to use on video cards or something more important

Actually, I think you'll find the 5850 blitzes the GTX 275 in most benchmarks.

That's not to say the GTX 275 isn't good , it's a fantastic bang-for-buck card, but it's generally priced lower than the 5850 for a reason.

@jstark069 hmm. stark did you overclock your build. I have a x6 1055t, 5870, 8gb ram, however I never max out at over 60fps. I was wondering if i had a faulty card or if that's the way it is. By the way its also not overclocked, everything is stocked.

It's because you have V-Sync set. Go under graphic options and turn it off. You will get about 250-300fps. Wish I had your system with the tech knowledge I have...

At first I was gonna sell it on ebay but since it was my first real build i just fell in love X). Thanks for the tip. is there any way to adjust the core volt on the 5870? I want to overclock it to at least 1300/1050 but i cant get it stable. And my voltage seems to be locked.

If it is non reference then you might be out of luck. Try MSI Afterburner, if you can over colt that is what will allow you.
