If you want to know the correct year of the engine look at the two first numbers of the code wich is the manafacture year. That was a snow blower engine because it has the guard above the recoil

@adamrennie14 Oh man, I have not had that setup for years. Uh, there was a wire that ran beside the cylinder through the flywheel housing out the other side to the carb. Not a good picture at all, but it was very simple.

That exhaust is going to cause you to burn your exhaust valve since all the heat is not being routed away, its right there at the edge of the cylinder.

hello mate, i can see some serious design errors in your cart, for one thing engine is too far back, you should remount to the side (next you you) since the cart has no suspension it wont have any balance problems, will also make the cart more compact. the frame doesnt look like it would do well with higher speeds and rough ground, i am guessing its 1,5-2mm thick. another thing is that rotation speed is reduced two times, i would put a 1:1 pulley from engine to first shaft, it would go faster
