The show should not be seen as a retelling of the Sword of Truth books, but judged on its own merits and by the standard set by its tv competitors. Once the show gets to episode 8 ("Denna"), it becomes a great romantic/adventure story of its own.

Great vid and I love brandi carlile. This was one of the first LotS vids that I watched way back when the show first started. And I too started reading the books because of the show. In my opinion, if they had tried to make a show just like the books, they would have failed and it would have been awful because the books are too good to match.

I can't belive you people watch this crap! This damned TV show is a total and complete massacre of the Seeker of Truth series. The cronology is totaly screwed, the actors have no heart, and the vision of Terry Goodkind is totaly lost on the shows director / producers..... to sum it up is easy : LAME!

@BigBlueTick i dont know quite what you meant about the acting. sure the first few episodes lacked in acting and plot build up and maybe its not the best book to tv show translation, but because of the show, i am reading them now. i didnt know about goodkinds books. what you said was taking a good video and insulting the show on the page meant to cretique the video, not the show. take your complaints somewhere else. did you just search the show so you could bash it on the first result you got?

This was wonderful! It describes how hard Kahlan's journey has been and yet shows how happy she is doing it. The page turning transitions are great and fit nicely. Maybe you should try making one for Richard?

As a huge fan of the books...for years, and now of course a fan of the show...I really do think you picked a great song to illustrate who Kahlan is and that she really was made for Richard. Thanks! 2:09 is from the second part of the first episode, "Destiny" (I think it's called). It's the scene when Richard, Kahlan, and Zedd are at Chase's house, right after Kahlan has received a new outfit. ;)
