Exodus Chapter 20:Vers.17 the tenth commandment: Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
@SmokingChimpFilms because he barely ever tours over here. Good God I'd love to see him more than once every 5 years...and I'd love to not have to drive 600 miles to see him too, but i'll drive it anyway.
I saw him in Oslo. The audience was all dead.. I wanted to scream out a title, or at least sing along, but I was stoned and drunk out of my head, and two cops were standing next to my seat... Seriously, they were totally dead.. And the high kind of ruined the experience too, believe it or not. Next time I'll be sober! Yeah, I know that the lyrics are about coke, but I feel it's just as much about humans being insensitive towards each other... you find this a lot, especially in coke places
A fantastic song obscured of meaning for me because so many of the cast in the original (Das Bunker) clip were friends of mine from of old. Maybe one day I will dig it.
of course: mr. nick cave is beside of mr. eddie vedder and of mr. tom waits one of the most talented and (i'am sure) good looked guys. hope, to get a ticket for the concert in l.e.
Great artist, big song, can't stop loving his music. Thank you Nick, you surprise me ever so much!!! Every tune's like a deep breath of fresh air. You are just holding my pulse....
I obviously knew Nick and the band from Red Right Hand and Scream.
When I saw them perform live on TV for the first time (I was watching that night - I think Alistair McGowan presented them), which was here, I thought, 'what a cool band'. and they are: 'The Bad Seeds' ,awesome.
its pure cocaine he is singing about i bet. there are so many despriptions showing the feeling on drugs that you can asume that this is the true meaning of it.
I think that is a misinterpretation. I believe the fifteen feet of pure white snow represents a secular culture that is smothering the spiritual. The Biblical figures he references are ill equipped to deal with this new culture and their relevance is disappearing. The result is spiritual isolation in a cold, secular world which breeds depression and madness.
I have seen a lot of live shows (and posted vids from a few including some of his) I do have to say the show in 2008 at the Troxy in London was amazing.. He entertained and entranced the whole place. Fantastic go see him if you get the chance
I could write a better song than Nick Cave, I just don't want to.

Why is Nick Cave not a musical god in America? I'm always surprised he doesn't appear of lists of greatest artists of all time.

Nick you are the man. No singer ever could touch me the way you do

I saw him three times here in Portugal, too bad Nick don´t come here more often, I hope to see Grinderman this year on a summer festival.
And for sure everyone should see Nick cave live at least once in a lifetime.

Great tune. Tarentino needs to fit this into a movie. This would fit like a glove in one of his earlier films.

Love the end part, where he says Save you'r self, Oh my lord save you'r self....
Its just perfect, the context, rythem and Nick's emotions it all add's up in the end.
