I found it lol she's no witch, her grave is faced forward and her stone reads "Eternal Life" and has a depiction of stairs going up into the "pearly gates" or that may be a depiction of weeping willows, theres a bible on top of her grave and I saw new flowers at the base of her grave. They use the church now and theres no blood anywhere on that church, id say that blood is fake, and it appeared to be broken into when I got there.
Apparently, nobody that has posted on this site has actually been there. it's not in the corner. There are no stairs on the tombstone. There is no demon face. The only ledgible words on the tombstone is "Serelda Jane Wetzel" - Birthday unknown - Died late 1800's. Cant remember exact date. No dogwood tree. The church has never been abondon. Still being currently used. (PS. Anyone that visits her grave gives her passage to their home and their soul. So be Warned!! Don't piss her off w/ lies!!)
Im from mannington, and i have heard many stories. when me and some friends went to investigate we were chased out by church goers and called devil worshipers XD It used to be a spot where people go to hang out and party, but sadly they put a gate up. my parents used to go up with friends and party XD
This "SO CALLED WITCH" is not a witch at all. She was a avid member of the church. People say, the stairs on her tomb stone are stairs to hell but only opposite. They are stairs to Heaven with the pearly gates. Also there is a poem on the marker which says. "Here I lay my body down, I change the cross into a crown." Most people say it says, "Here I lay my body down, I CHAIN THE CROSS TO THE GROUND." One more thing, the BIBLE, King James the version I is on top of the marker.
I'm not sure how old you are, but this lady died quite a while ago. Perhaps you remember her from your youth. I am curious, do you also steal candy from children?@russh26559
@russh26559 You're acting like the accusation of her being a witch is so offensive =/ Witch's aren't devil worshippers anyway. So if they claim she's a witch they'd be inaccurate to say that's what those stairs resemble in the first place. >.> So let's calm down lol But it is weird that those type of pictures would be posted inside a chruch... any insight on why that is? :)
I'm from Fairmont, fairly closeby. It's totally not creepy/freaky, at least when I went. It was actually peaceful. :) And there's no demon face on the headstone. Also, locals like to turn the stone around, so it never faces the same direction. We put it "right" when we were there so it faced the same as the other graves, but people like to hold up the tradition and turn it backwards. Disrespectful, in my opinion.

@bobloren They started using the church again and cleaned up the cemetery. Maybe that's why it wasn't creepy at all when you went drewkolar.
