  • Wow some crossings don't even have a barrier!

  • @GowieLowie thire is a lot on this line

  • thats a cool bell

  • how do you know when theres a train coming before the lights flash and stuff?

  • @joetorsneyTrains the wind was blowing from the way the train was coming from

  • yay.

  • @hstscotsman u dont see may taxi or bues

  • Nice box junction... :P

  • this sound was eastenders lol, 31.10.2010 was the episode, i think they copyed this sound lol look on bbc iplayer

  • Class 170 there :)

  • why are there no gates, maybe someone that dosent know may just pass the crossing without hearing and seeing the lights and bells?!,,,,

  • as thire is a waring all the way down to it

  • @aryowailangitoyo97 As this is not a very busy road and it has a high pitch alarm. When I bike through the local park I sometimes hear the alarm even though I'm still a few meters away.

  • @aryowailangitoyo97 There are no gates because it will probably have a limited, low speed service across it (train wise). Also the road won't be the busiest of roads. And it's also cheap. On approach to all level crossings (other than Used Worked ones) there is a warning sign, and its generally expected that motorists are being observant, so shall look out for signs and stop lights. This isn't always the case...plus I know from experience, barriers or gates don't always stop people.

  • The East Suffolk line is great for AOCL and ABCL crossings. I like the way the crossings are protected with trains given a flashing red light if they cannot proceed or a flashing white light if they can proceed, along with the white spotlights facing the crossing.

  • this is a slow crossing so need to be so quick

  • Same systems are used on the West Somerset Steam Railway

  • If I had my normal loud music I would probably not hear the sound but you would have to be an idiot to see the signage and still be doing 30mph... I would slow down to 20mph approaching the crossing.

  • can you imagine going for nice walk in the countryside amongst signing birds and open field and then that alarm starts lol

  • haha lol, sounds just like my burgular alarm!

  • you know the train is coming lol

  • @jaffacake1578 :

    ya you are very right!

  • awesome crossing

  • i like this place

  • I still believe that all level crossing should have barriers. Even with the alarm and lights, that to me is still really dangerous

  • as rail spead it low no need for barriers and this road don't see much traffice

  • ok this crossing does not need Barriers with that sound I would stop

  • I didnt know we had so many crossings without barriers.

  • This seems a bit of a dodgy crossing. No barriers at all. What if a pedestrain or motorist alike was deaf and not paying too much attention to the lights. Accident waiting to happen.

  • hi this crossing is low spead zone and not many car come over it the train if coming from left soundthe horn

  • lol, those bells sound cool...

  • Agreed, although you should try to reduce the shakiness of your videos. I know it's exciting, waiting for the sirens to sound and lights to flash, but all the same, try to hold the camera steady next time...
