But part 3 and 4 are nothing more than simple action movies. They are good, but part 1 and 2 were milestones in cinematic history and thats what make a Terminator movie from the 80s. Thats what makes them unreachable.

Look part 1 and 2... and then part 3.

If you have at least a bit notion of movies, you'll see what I mean.

Taking Nick Stahl as John Connor...

In T 2 he was as kid able to hack into the best CPU-Systems and in T 3 he was just plain helpless. He wasn't physically trained (compared to Sarah in T2), didn't improve his abilities (not more was demanded of THE savior of mankind!).

Compared to Kyle Reese, Sarah Connor, J. Connor from T2, this guy is a loser.

I agree with you hat the movie is okay, but I don't think that it reaches to it's predecessors.

I remember watching this movie throughout my childhood. I never got tired of how well it was done, the storyline, and everything else about it. The end still gets to me. When the Terminator says, "I know now why you cry. And that is something I can never do." That, and the thumbs-up as he's falling into the molten metal, to be destroyed.

This is one of the movies I could watch all the way through and never get tired of. My kids will also watch this is a movie growing up.
