BTW - I am a 37 year old 6 foot male that weights 82kg so i am not overweight, i just find that running is harder on me these days. Your suggestions would be quite helpful :)
I have recently started jogging because swimming doesn't allow enough breathing to take place so i have found that jogging makes me feel a lot better after i have finished than swimming does, although with jogging i get shin splints so i cannot do it everyday :( Any suggestions on exercises that equally exert ones self without using your legs? I have thought about buying a punching bag and giving it a good half hour of pounding, would that be considered good exercise your in opinion?

@blade004 I suggest joining a gym, which is what I did. I run on the elliptical machine for 30 minutes, and it works like a charm!
