I have a 6yo Boston brindle colored and is the best and smartest dog I have ever had. I wish I had had one much earlier in life as IMHO they are among the best of dogs. ty for sharing your sweethearts

@ProductionDesignrMAX they shouldn't be 20 -25 pounds they are 10 - 15 i have one but she is small i looked it up online because she was really heavy but it said 10 -15

10 being very small

13 being average

15 being large

@horsesaremylife31899 Actually if you look up the AKC standards 20-25 lbs is the largest size in this breed. My own BT is out of this range at 28Lbs

10 = small

15 = average

20 = large

I would say that dogs, like humans, have a vast variety of levels of intelligence, willingness, and lack of attention span.

Boston Terriers are "companion dogs" which means that they are very interested in being with you and doing what you are doing. They are able to learn as much as you are willing to teach them.

Border Collies are BRILLIANT (about the same reasoning skills as a 4-5 year old)

Labs and Retrievers are the easiest to train in my opinion because they WANT to do what you want.

Both my 1 1/2 year old boston and 7 year old golden ret. love watermelon - when I'm at my kitchen sink scooping it out with an ice cream scoop they sit and wait for me to share with them - which of course I do! =D I love both of my dogs but my boston has completely stolen my heart - I will always have both breeds.

I have a boston terrier that my brother found peeing on Walgreens. he was a stray. his name is Puggy and he's a fat pig. but he's still cute.  and he would eat that whole watermellon without chewing it probaly!

The watermelon is REALLY thinly sliced so that they can eat it like people. It leaves funny teeth marks.
