@crabmaniac1 I think that sounds like a bad idea. At the best, you'll waste hundreds of dollars. At the worst, you'll kill a family of 4 eating dinner. Best stick to simple things, like Budweiser and Bug Lights there buddy.

My airplane is almost ready for my atj 120ti. I need to know what oil do you recommend? turbine oil?(mobil,bp,aeroshell) but how about... castrol tts or mobil dte light ? Once again this is GOOD quality turbine !!!

Would a large K&N deisel filter over the inlet not alow the engine to function properly? I'm contemplating usage on a snowboard. A filter and a box would keep snow out but I think it might durastically reduce efficiency. I haven't seen anyone use filters accept on a turbocharger style turbo jet. If that works you would think it would work on this, but I'm really not sure, what do you think?

Hi: the jet engine need more air flow then large deisel engines , if cover filter will hot start and heart engine , no recomment but screen is ok. we have a customer want to use jet engine on remove snow machine it's not economy because jet engine is drink fuel monster...., I think for home use you can use gas burner , large area can use jet engine ...arround the world more old jet engine rework to thaw snow machine..

45 - 60 lbs thrust is about as far as they go these days.

Remember, these things are a single-stage compressor in a uniform burner-can configuration.

To start squirting serious thrust per kg weight, you'd need to be looking at multi-stage compressor units - which are around the traps, but as expensive as all hell...

I'm with stevewood, I personally might never achieve good enough rc skills to pilot this kind of rc aircraft, but I could think of so many things to strap these to. I would strap it to a sled with ice skate blades on it and take it to a big frozen lake and see how fast i get :).....

These are usually used for RC jet planes, which if the aircraft and the turbine are correct, can reach 200 MPH easy. RC jets are my goal, it takes years to get enough flying experience to fly jets, I have been at it on and off for three years and have no where near enough flying time to fly a jet lol.
