ive been watchin these driftin videos and wonderin if it's hard to drift especially with an automatic, it looks hella fun but also kinda scared to lol i dunno
also i subbed to u. best night cam ive seen yet. it doesnt care that the camera is shaking,it kinda makes it cool. please make WAY MORE videos like that.
Haha..yo. this video is fuckin awsome mann, lol. i think he did blow a Tire at the end. im guessing it was the left front cause look at the way the car just dropped on that side and it started understeering. awsome vid tho..
Haha as long as you don't mind giant friggin spiders, bees and stuff like that. I'm over here now for a while, might make my way out there one day. Car is needed though lol.
yeah only the top spec ones got LSD. still, as if the hachi doesnt pwn? chassis almost perfect, it's just the 4A that is a bit of a letdown from the factory. put an SR20 in there and you'd be laughing.
haha yeah a sr would be good or a 4agze but i love my hachi for DD. has LSd and good for dorifto...previous owner almost didnt let go of it but i want it for DD. Once i get my hatch then coupe gets a 20V or a GZE and dorifto...haha
I love mine even if it's slow and has an open diff, it's epic fun, no other car feels quite like this. Not my brother's FB RX-7, not anything I've driven. Maybe I'm just used to it but, it's like it's part of my body. :D
Just letting you guys know. The guys in this video is Chinese though they spoke one word of Japanese in the beginning and repeated it. Chinese people tend to be influence by the Japanese culture so this is typical.
The racing 90% of people watch on TV is not the racing 90% of racers do in the USA, btw :)
Yeah, tons more people drag race than do canyons or similar things, but there are still plenty of people who do 'stuff with right turns', in places where the geography allows for it. :P
You try finding a road like this in Florida or Kansas and get back to me xP
Try the blue ridge mountains, I have a buddy who actually has a 100 mile course of roads that go around richmond(where i'm from) that are all twisty and tons of fun to drive on
actually, controlling speed is a different skill compared to drifting, i hope you know a pro drifter would likely not do as well placed in a nascar race, just something to think about, it's not just about pressing the gas pedal
This is the BEST amature drifting video i have ever seen. This isnt just some amaerican idiot ripping the ebrake in a honda around a corner. these guys have talent...
Awesome! He even signals to let him know there are cars. People in Japan can have honor like that. People in America would hate and want to see others get in a wreck or get hurt in a battle.

fuck you dude. I go racing with my buddies up in my Jeep all the time in the canyons. Whenever there's a car coming we always slow down for it so we all know so slow down and there's a car or a deer or something like that.
BTW, I'm an awesome drifter in my Jeep Grand Cherokee. I can keep up with little sports cars.
your wrong racing down a mountain takes way more skill. unless your racing f1 or le mans or any of those kinds of racing. street car on the the circut or the street, no difference. more people die on moutain passes but not that much. maybe 20% and circuit racingdeaths are more then 1% more like 7 or 8% and drifting on the downhill, for a normal person to learn how to do that is just plain skill
drifting downhill does need skill but it is at the same time dangerous. i'm not saying about touge drifters being bad but it should not be an encouragement to others.
we know that drifting takes more skill than circut racing. kira just try to drift and see how much harder it is than circut racing. circut is all about the power not to much skill. drifting takes the skill. btw drifting came from circut racing its a part of it.
It's just a different driving style, but going as fast as possible is i think more demanding than drifting because you are on the edge all the time, of course I don't have a lot circuit racing experience and the one's i had were very easy, only rally driving experience and i find driving in a little bit wet asphalt very tricky (all the oil comes up), drifting doesn't require going on edge all the time. Said that of course it's a skill to be envious about.
ya driving on circuits has its risks. but the only one u would endanger is yourself. in touges, u endanger other people as well. besides, its less than 1% that someone get hurts or die in an accident in a circuit but its almost 50% on touges. InitialD is drawn, if the writter don't kill that guy, he won't die.
i doubt that its less than 1%... and its actually no where near 50% its much lower. jus because Aniem is art come to life doesnt mean it doesnt have truth behind it. but again, over excadurated with the percentages... everyone knwos a curciut but go to a street you dont know and learn to drive it...thats skill.
ya 1% and 50% are a bit too.... but i never meant u don need skill at touges but its your life u should treasure most. about the anime thing. don't over believe it. thats fake this is real life.
kira just remember that drifting is part of circut racing. they use it to take corners at faster speeds. thats how drifting originated. and btw intial d was based upon driting, not the other way around. you also endanger other people circut racing too. and ninjaguy not to be mean. but these guys know most of these courses beforehand. its just suicide to drift it without knowing.
how common is it... to see cars driving through mountains at 3 in the morning? but im sure your going to find a smart ass answer to that. circut racing is slimmer but not by that much. circut racing you have 30 something cars. touges mostly have 2. its hard to over speed while going uphill. and downhill your mostly on the brake anyways if you have every tried to drift downhill. as i said before these guys have mostlikely overviewd these courses before and know most of the turns.
drifting is fun, but it's near pointless in real racing due to it kills the tires much faster and most people just powerslide and not intensionally to drift the car. Entrance speed might be faster but harder to gain traction at the exit.
It depends. Drifting occurs even in GT races. Not spectacular drifts but we could say "micro" drifts. And I'm pretty sure pro drivers control this "micro" drift 99%.
Also in rally you can gain benefits from drifting under certain circumstances.
I agree with you if you mean "show drifts", useless in a race with a clock or rules. But they're great to have fun! Also after a lot of drifts (not in a race) you know better the limits of your car and yours. Weight shifting, adherence limits etc...
no he was not he was drifting if he had droped the front tire he would have spun due to the extra drag on the front of the car.
you have to hook both the front and rear tire to use this move but you need to becarfull i have already riped my front tire off one car trying to lean this for stage rally you should have seen the look on the guys face when got out of his evo i looked at him and said and this is how not to due a gutter hook lol
thats maybe it does. all the tricks and drifts shown in the manga (not sure about the anime) is guided by tsuchiya keiichi himself. he tested the tricks himself before allowing the artist(shuichi shigeno i think) to draw it.
but its the same mountain...y would initial D give a different mountain another name if this mountain already has the name...i know Haruna is Akina but this has to be Akagi
Wow... nice. That's actually a good idea. Having the lead car signal when there's a car on the opposite side. I wonder if we need to do that in the U.S. because most of our streets are wide enough for even the people in the back to see. Oh, and Slantsone, how much does it cost to keep a Skyline in the states?
Don't you get a it scared that somebody else is going to be coming the other way then your on the wrong side of the road when going around corners? I get a bit edgey when I'm doing a touge run and i'm going hard on the other side of the road....
hi, great ride, what engine do you have? 1.6 twincam 16v or 20v? do you have LSD? thanks ^^

where i drive we have to watch the guard rails for light reflections to see if cars are coming the other way. it works pretty well tho.

Wow... nice. That's actually a good idea. Having the lead car signal when there's a car on the opposite side. I wonder if we need to do that in the U.S. because most of our streets are wide enough for even the people in the back to see. Oh, and Slantsone, how much does it cost to keep a Skyline in the states?
KiwiDrifting 4 years ago
Well, what do you mean by "costs"? I've got a '33 GTS25T in Florida.

Yeah your pretty good at driving!
Don't you get a it scared that somebody else is going to be coming the other way then your on the wrong side of the road when going around corners? I get a bit edgey when I'm doing a touge run and i'm going hard on the other side of the road....
