  • I have 2 Pioneer Blu-ray Disc players the BDP-430 and the BDP-LX55 both those players are 3D Blu-ray Disc players and they are very solid build. They are build to last for many years..I highly recommend Pioneer Blu-ray Disc players to anyone. You won't regret it...

  • I must say that Pioneer is one hell of a brand. Their blu ray players are very solid , and build to last for years. But don't forget pioneer is no software company so if you are into media streaming / video / photo / mp3 with DLNA then you're definitely should avoid pioneer. They advertise a blu ray player as bd live 2.0 compatible yet it don't work. They advertise that you can stream media through DLNA yet DLNA does not work. Buy a Sony / LG / Samsung / Panasonic instead.

  • Sander - all you have to do is plug in an ethernet cable, hook it up to your wi-fi hub and download version 3.65 and avatar will play fine.

  • I got this one, its just awesome. But when i am about to watch Avatar, something on the TV screen tells me that the Blue-ray player needs to upgrade.

How do you upgrade this Blue-ray player?

    Thanks.

  • I have it and I like it better than the PS3. It does take a few minutes to fire on and play a disk but after that it is a great player.
