  • Sorry Republicans...but you shouldn't be here anyway

  • I feel like I should say something while listening, but it just leaves me witless...kind of like a republican...oh! there it goes! And Boom Goes The Dynamite!

  • i dig these bands. theyre the only ones left who do long, intricate, 60's type psychedelic guitar solos! (like Hendrix!)

  • Well as often dudes write "AC/DC" style I´ll then write "Black Sabbath" style oh yeah dudes! .-)

  • @fortheloveoftunes I'm hearing this for the first time and the band it reminds me most of is Blue Cheer ...

  • @reinpost Ok I just checked "Blue Cheer" what a fine band thanx dude!

  • always got to move my mouth like a talkbox when i hear the intro

  • FUCKIN love this shit!!!!!!!!!

  • Atomic Bitchwax guitarist Ed Mundell once said: "You know what amazes me? I'll be in a guitar store and see these kids playing guitar or whatever, and we'll start talking, and it turns out they've never heard of Hendrix or Blue Cheer or any of this great music that's been around for the last twenty or thirty years". Mundell also cites as influences 70s bands such as Robin Trower, Mahogany Rush, Tommy Bolin, Captain Beyond, Frank Marino and others.

  • Fantastic song :D ... Stoner rock :Q___ ... we're trying to make similar kind of music, 'cause is so much beautiful!

  • wooohooo

  • 3:15 and after that riff hits my ears is soo melodic, nyce.

  • These guys are good - they know how to play, write a song, sing, & have their act together. Killer name, & I love the naked lady-haha. Regards, The '62 Mathew St. Band (1 Man-Full Group Retro)

  • just sounds like me+my friends jamming back in the day at the all nite stoner drunk parties. very simple stuff...basic hendrix + sabbath style blues jamming, very easy most any players can do it, so I dont see the fuss about this.

  • @progjazzfusion Loving how you use 'Hendrix' and 'basic' in the same sentence. You clearly know what you're talking about.

  • @Barwee - i'm saying this band sounds like it takes from the basic elements contained in most hendrix and sab songs. Hendrix+sab songs contain basic element of stucture and chording that they use often giving them a signature sound. if you played guitar youd know that. meaning it's easy to duplicate the essence of them and then ape them poorly like this unimaginatively boring band is doing, and comes out sounding generic like millions of other stoner bands. what stoner band doesnt copy sab?

  • @progjazzfusion Well I love stoner music, but I don't really care for sabbath much...

  • @ACDC666SatrianiVai - yeah me either! for me, the best stoner music starts and ends with the first 2 blue cheer albums from 68 ...which were before sabbath!

  • @progjazzfusion blue cheer? arent they always rated like worst rock band of all time

  • @565144 - Blue Cheer was a big influence on Sabbath as they used to play Blue Cheer covers while still called Polka Tulk and Earth before going by the Black Sabbath name. In fact Ozzy was listening to the first blue cheer album from 68 on The Osboures +Jack asked him “Dad, what is this?” + Ozzy says “This is the real fucking Heavy Metal man.” Many heavy bands worship at the alter of Blue Cheer. Some admitted cheer fans include Electric Wizard, Nirvana, Mudhoney, Soundgarden, Rush, Pentagram, etc

  • @progjazzfusion k well i check em out. to be honest they sound like garbage. They probably just get credit for being the first heavy psych band. but still, shit sucks, almost unbearable to listen to.

  • @565144 - well then I guess Blue Cheer is just too heavy and out there for you, you should really open your mind, as most of the bands you like have said that Blue Cheer is the heaviest psych band, first real metal band, etc...so either they are all wrong or you are missing something that others in the genre say is a key band. IT's a fact of history is that BC was a key big heavy influence on sab, bitchwax, metal+stoner+grunge bands, etc. Just get the first 2 BC albums and let them grow on you.

  • @progjazzfusion ya dude i have, but i am still convinced that they are only recognized because they the first band to really commit to heaviness. but heavy is all they have, i mean at least sabbath had sick ass riffs and solos. idk maybe tonight ill toke up hard and give em another try.

  • @565144 - yeah give em more time to grow on you, the first 2 blue cheer albums from 68 may take some time to get into, especially the first Vincebus Eruptum, as it's so over the top + mostly a distorted wall of feedback, kind of dark and depressing the first few times I heard it, but I kept coming back to it and eventually it became one of my fav albums, along with their second one Outside Inside, which is the opposite. not as noisy or dark as Vincebus. More trippy, upbeat, faster and heavier.

  • @565144 no

  • Take a listen to "Electric Funeral" off the Black Sabbath "Paranoid" release.

Can you feel the inspiration ?

  • so... 'sabbath''

  • wow that bass intro literally cured my constipation

  • Absolutely Brilliant...Thanks for putting this up..Cheers!

  • goeie muziek waar is de tijd 2012 is op komst nog cannet head

  • good,but black sabbath learns...

  • right on bodacious

  • insanely awesome

    5/5

  • like i cant really even explain how kickass this is.

  • it's more kickass than a kicked ass :p

  • @wirejacker Dude, I am pretty baked, but I still find that lame.

  • bass balls is the effect on bass. try "bitchwax 99" in search for original lineup 1st tour footage.

  • What effect is that on the bass in the intro?

  • It's called an,"envelope filter".Consider it

an automatic wah you don't have a treadle foot

pad, you set it and forget it.1 more thing,

there are,"Envelope Filters for guitar and bass.Different frequencies mind you.

  • bass balls by electro-harmonix

  • best stoner album ever

  • If not it is in the top 5. Kyuss 'Welcome to Sky Valley' and Monster Magnet's 'Dopes to Infinity' and 'Spine of God' are up there too. But I love TAB...it kicks me right in the brain.

  • right squaaa in the brain

  • @KingofMars62 If you sonded so great then where are all YOUR stoner rock awards????? Gues High Times must have forgot to nominate your no name ass for a doobie award......

  • @DetectiveTheopolis - Heh, whatever. I don't do what I do for awards just to get wasted and rock out. The dude abides...

  • @KingofMars62 sorry. I was stoned. Blurry aim and all. I meant that for progjazzfusion. I dont play for awards either. but i don't dog on famous acts that play better than me either. I can't stand assholes like that who try to gring others down.

  • @DetectiveTheopolis - No problem...it happens. I was just wondering what I had said to warrant that comment, lol? I am 70's old school but definitely not HoF material.

    Namaste...

  • @KingofMars62 sorry. I was stoned. Blurry aim and all. I meant that for progjazzfusion. I dont play for awards either. but i don't dog on famous acts that play better than me either. I can't stand assholes like that who try to bring others down.

  • @KingofMars62 you win just because of the big lebowski reference

  • @FrankyJFuckwit - LOL, I bowl, I get high and think the movie is the balls, one of the best films ever made imo. In many senses I was a "The Dude" even before there was a movie about him. But there will always be just one real "Dude"...Jeff Dowd in real life, aka as Jeffrey Lebowski in cinema.

  • @KingofMars62 Old school shit. Nice.
