So sorry to hear how you lost your Kiko. I have had Siamese/OSH for 42 years now and had lost one years ago to Hyperthrophic Cardiomyopathy. You never would never know anything was wrong until one day he had trouble breathing. I lost him at 1 1/2 years of age. Have never encountered that since, although I have had lots of other things happen. I have a boy now that looks very much like your Kiko .
@meezerlover: Such a special breed, so sad. You have had good luck with yours and selection of breeders as well, no doubt. Cardiomyopathy seems to be a fairly common disease in the OSH. Kiko has a 5 year health guarantee, so after he left us we got a sweet little all-chocolate guy- and then lost him at 3. Thanks for the thoughts.
I am so sorry for your loss. I have just lost my oriental black cat 'Mr Zak' (Mr Zak discovers the iPad' is the video I up loaded) I miss him very much too.
@everylittlebreeze : thanks, My sympathies as well. They are such a special breed, it's more ike losing a family member than a "pet". I'll be sure to check your vid.
what a gorgeous cat!! my siamese cat just ran up and jumped on the arm of the chair when he heard the meows! he also has a v loud voice, sorry to hear about your kitty he looks really special :)
@alilinzee : Really, thanks. I am sort of surprised his uniqueness shows through in video, maybe I should put some more, but it's still hard to watch. I should move on but Ithink about him every day. I actually posted his last video before that final visit to the vet, and the sound track happened to be The Doors "The End". It was really sad, but it was a nice farewell. YouTube pulled it due to copyright infringement. Thanks for your kind thoughts.
Kiko was beautiful and obviously very special. I lost my Oriental, Mason, during July and I miss him like crazy. Every MINUTE was exceptional with him, too.
@SuperTsita Thanks- I really miss him like no other. Cardiomyopathy. i think- bum ticker. Congenital, just finally blew out some clots and shut down his hindquarters. Before the final act, though,I kept him with us for several months longer and enjoyed the extra time. While I sometimes really want to take these vids down, I am grateful for all who see him and seem to recognize how unique he was. Quite a spirit.
Oh my goodness! This is a adorable. He sounds just like our oriental cat! I would say even though he is deaf, he looks like he is loving life all the same:)
i don't wanna be an ass - i have two oriental cats by myself - but kiko is a foreign white oriental; and most of them are particular, or even on both sides....def!
so, tell me... did you test kiko and can he actually hear?
i really hope so. he really looks and sounds very cute.
You may soon discover Kiko is no longer with us, I have not seen these clips in awhile; I sure do miss him. I am happy to know that so many others share my fondness for this animal and all his distant "relatives".
What breed was she? Its so sad, cats dont live long enough.. A while after they die you find bits of fur and you hear a bump and you think its them,,, Not fair

damn, i just saw that he is no more... i'm very sorry for your loss.
i know how hard it is - my first siamese cat went almost 20 years old, he was like a brother to me.
orientals (siamese and oriental short hair) are by far the most intelligent cats.
i love 'em and couldn't live without them anymore.
