I used to think I drank to hide my troubles, then I found out I had troubles because of my drinkin'! I quit over 20 years ago. I still got troubles like everybody does, but now I can deal with'em.
To me it portrays a man fixated on his past with drink his only companion. No redemption bothers me because I was on down that road, but I listened to it 3 times any way... absolutely beautiful guitar work. good tune. well made song. I'm putting it in my favorites. Thanks for sharing it.
