Why would the Jews pick up rocks to throw at Jesus after he said "I AM", if they did not think he was claiming to be God? By the way, you can't kill the Spirit you can only kill the body in reference to Jesus dying, thus the terms God-man, the flesh and the Spirit and on that basis I believe he is God!

This is so simple. All you have to do is think about it.

There are two things God CANNOT do. Titus 1:2 says, "God...cannot lie". In fact Hebrews 6:18 says, "it is impossible for God to lie", and Habakkuk 1:12 says, "Are you not from long ago, O Jehovah? O my God, my Holy One, you do not die."

Now, didn't Christ die for our sins? Yes he did. Clearly Jesus CANNOT be God.

The God of Abraham appeared in human form as stated in Genesis 18:1-19 who talk to Sarah personally and told her that she would have a son. The God of Jacob is the God appeared in human form who wrestled with Jacob and change his name to Israel as stated in Genesis 32:24-32. the book of enoch is an obvious fake since written language was invented WAAAAAY after enoch was supposed to take place. Also, none of the actual prophets ever mentioned this book (authors of letters are not prophets)

Perhaps you are not paying attention pianokid. The book of Enoch is part of the Dead Sea Scrolls. The significance being it is also a part of Jewish sacred Scriptures. Neither Adam nor Noah wrote Genesis either. How do we know that God created all creations as none was there in the beginning to see, hear or know? Nor was there paper to jot anything down then. A puzzle to you perhaps?

the difference is that enoch is actually supposed to be the writer of the "book of enoch", while genesis isnt claimed to be written by adam. book of enoch is supposed to be written by him, which we know is false. Also, the essenes had MANY different books, some of different doctrine than the others. the dead sea scrolls were a library, not a collection of their beliefs

Present-day scholars may ascribe the book of Enoch to Enoch, but that does not mean he was the man who put it in writing. How would anybody know who did put the book in writing? Written Scriptures were originally passed down by oral traditions anyway.

Enoch is supposed to be written by enoch himself. Everything in the Tanakh that is said to be written by someone (ie, ezekiel etc) was actually written by the person, even if it was "copied" by scribes etc, unlike enoch, who couldnve have possible written ANYTHING since written language didnt exist in his time. Also, even if he "miraculously" wrote something (that nobody would be able to read ), it wouldve still been lost in all that time that passed, also, this book is never mentioned in tanakh

Hi paniokid, I dont want to come across as argumentative but again I must stress that the earlier Tanakh 'books' were passed down orally. Note that the title 'Book of Enoch' would be given to refer to that particular scripture. Its not the Scripture title nor necessarily written by Enoch. God could have given the information to one of his prophets to be written down as in Genesis. Again its ppl who decide what is canonized. Book of Enoch is amongst DSS so must be Scripture before later changes.

jesus was speaking hebrew here more than likely and when he said I AM he was saying I AM he who spoke through the burning bush. Read hebrews chap. 1 with special emphasis on verse 8....you also need to look at this from hebrew not just greek
