face it , a harley with a few engine mods would leave most jap plastic bike behind on the straight..........(and certain models- the bends too!!!) and that would even be towing a caravan ! ive tasted both worlds after 45+ motorcycles owned , look at a modern xt 660.......i left a buddy whimpering on his 1000r blade when i left him streets behind during a 5 mile race home for a cup of tea

@BadTirapelli. I built this bike 25 years ago and rode it through 42 US states, 2 Canadian and all of Europe. It took, and takes, me were ever I wanted to go. Now, after 150.000+ miles, it never missed a single turn. This bike has more soul than most people and certainly can't be touched by any other bike, ever... It has nothing to do with winning, horsepower, nimble handling, fast cornering or speed ;-)

I roadrace a CBR1000 at Deals Gap.But never underestimate the V-Twin off the line.It's like the old story of the 2 bulls.The one bull says,hey dad lets run down and fuck one of those cows.The dad says no son,lets walk on down and fuck them all.

The CBR1000RR doesn't have under-seat exhaust. So he was racing a 600 for a very short distance. A twin will have more torque in lower RPM for the most part. And the Honda rider doesn't look as experienced. So yeah, this proves nothing. And I'm no Inline4 love.

Still a meaningless race, and I'm kinda embarrassed for the people cheering. The blade rider didn't even lean forward.

Geweldig die Hildo, gewoon een sluwe oude vos. Inderdaad als de sprint maar lang genoeg is dan wint de honda uiteindelijk wel. Dat weet Hildo ook.

Maar Hildo kent zijn bike 100% en heeft de daarbij horende perfecte gas / koppeling beheersing, een motor met veel koppel onderin en een korte dragbaan. Hij wist dat hij ging winnen, de Honda had geen kans. Geweldig.

Ik rijd een zelfde Blade, zoek nu een Harley rat bike. ;-)

de harley is op papier misschien 25 jaar oud, maar er zit wel een evolution blok in en dat levert minimaal 130 pk, dus zo raar is dit niet.

Ik heb sinds 1997 een 96 cui S&S blok en ik kan je garanderen dat daar geen 130 pk uit komt. Hildo is bescheiden met zijn 70 pk, ik wil best geloven dat-ie desnoods op 90/95 zit, maar 130? Het Evoblok kwam eind 83 met modeljaar 84 in produktie en dat is niet 25, maar 27 jaar geleden. Filmpie demonsteert juist dat de pk's op de korte afstand niet de doorslag geven.
