  • As well, the IWK floor indicators I remember back then were B-1-M-3-4-5-6-7-8, but have changed to 0-1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8.

  • The directional indicators above the IWK Health Centre elevator doors haven't changed in decades.

  • I've been in these IWK Hospital elevators numerous times before...most notably during the spring/summer of 1983, the fall of 1988 and the spring of 1990.

  • eww at that buzz, nice old elevator though kids reminds me of the old otis elevator at Toronto Sick Kids Roy C Hill wing

  • @g4tech Yeah, hospitals can have some interesting elevators. Touch sensitive Otis ones seem to be common in older hospitals.

  • @myotismon767 Trillium hospital in Missisauga has some pretty bad ones also with a annoying tone/buzz when you press the button

  • Nice elevators, and very fast.

  • @CaptainElevator42189 I agree. BTW, I first visited the IWK Health Centre back around 1979.

  • Interesting.

  • @McBearPEI I wanted to get the ones at the QEll but I ran out of time. Those are Northern models. And they are quite fast too.
