ciao the park where you've been it doesn't call "central park of Rome" but VILLA BORGHESE an ancient park of 1500 belonged in the past to the noble family of Borghese and now it belongs to Rome city as public park. And it' s only one of the ancient public parks in Rome.
Btw Rome is considered the most green city in all Europe thanks all the public parks and wild natural parks around the city.
