@MayallFan35 Nah, they're from a two-hour VHS of pre-record sessions for 'Cash' and 'Nasty' which does the rounds with collectors. We did send a copy to the people who compiled the last DVD set but they apparently thought the picture quality wasn't worth bothering with.

I love how you can hear Ade Edmondson's voice in the background. He's got quite a distinctive voice. Who does the voice of SPG, by the way? I always wondered if it was one of the Young Ones themselves. After all, they did the voices for like the fly on the wall and stuff.

Rik Mayall did the voice for SPG. It's Rik's voice, with a Scottish accent. I've got this same VHS tape with the outtakes. I haven't watched it in a long time, but I think it also includes the setup of the 2 teddy bears fucking and Rick falling down the stairs.

I have some out-takes but not sure if its the same as the 2 hour tape you already have. Mine has rik doing the scene where he is about to get sawed in bead...over and over....and over. Also have Neil(Nigel) singing either "my white bicycle" or "hole in my shoe" on some tv pop show.

The old VHS release 'The Complete Young Ones' is nothing of the sort; it's butchered, as are all modern versions of TYO. I think the Beeb didn't want to pay the fees for the backing music used, so many scenes have been cut. Surely the Beeb could have negotiated a one-off payment? I'll have to rely on my own dodgy 25 year old VHS copies to get the 'real' complete TYO...
