i think the turtles did crime on the side. think about it. who funded them? they had a turtle blimp, a van, jet powered skateboards. where'd they get the money for a blimp for god sakes?!!! something was up with those dudes man lol.
To all those who don't already know, they're actually re-releasing these figures this year for the Ninja Turtles 25th Anniversary. Awesome! I finally have a chance to buy them and keep them in their original packaging.
Yeah, you're right. The trend goes for G.I. Joe, and others as well. But shit, who cares? I'm not looking for soap operas filled with the character developments of a small cast. I want assloads of crazy designs! I ate it up.
Indeed, the toy companies gave designs and demanded those characters be featured on the show. But wouldn't you know, they still somehow managed to keep up the quality (well, on and off).
Wait a sec! I remember when I got Wyrm back in 1991 the package had him listed as part of the turtles Now after all this years I learn he was a Foot clan member?! And when was these episodes featuring him, Dirtbag, and groundchuck? I know Chrome Dome was feature in an episode but the others I had no idea.
i rented a video tape of an episode that I believe appeared in prime time and may have been shown as a two parter as well-in it groundchuck and dirtbag and chrome dome appear and I think so does tatoo but wyrm NEVER appeared in an episode and that clip of him animated remains a mystery to this day.
I found Dirtbag's backpack after about five to seven years of letting all of my figures sit in tupperware in the basement. It was in an old pencil case! Needless to say, I immediately reunited him.
I had alot of the turtle action figures. I also had Chromedome, Wyrm, Dirtbag, Groundchuck! The only things I didn't get that I want were the Technodrome, Sewer Playset, and Module so I had to use giant tinker toys to compensate for the technodrome and use underneath my bed or bathtub as the sewers since my parents never got those for me.
Back in the day, some of us just had to use our imaginations because my parents couldnt get me every Turtle accessory. I never really asked my parents for the sewer playset, but when my mom got mad at us for messing up the sink and bathtub by playing with the toys, I told my mom "it was either I get the playset or I use the bathroom" - nuff said.
I think he was suppose to (the animation was probally a promotion for a new episode), but I never saw him on the show. Even Tokka and Razhar were on one or two episodes in the early 1990s)
I remember that special in 1991 where The Turtles fought Groundchuck and Dirtbag. Chrome Dome was a robot that Shredder created and he was only on that episode. Tatoo was on that episode too (introduced once in the archie comic series), but only in the beginning when the turtles tried to stop him from breaking into a pet store.
Whoa! Whoa! There's no reason to get hostile. I watched because I found it amusing to see an old commercial from when I was little. I just find action figure commercials to be dumb. Jesus H. Wikins!
I'm Sorry then, I'm used to people on Youtube having the brain of a moth. And they whine about crap that makes no sense to complain about, or think they know everything.

@acedaface954 Nah! No crime- not the Turtles!
Actually, they did a series of porn movies with April! That is how they got the money for all their little gadgets.

The sad part is that the show was pretty much all about selling toys. That was the 80s for you.

Dirtbag was in an hour long ninja turtles special. That's the only time he showed up in the cartoon series.

Yeah "Dirk Savage Mutant Hunter" All the toy ads were made with shots from the show so I think it was left over footage from an unfinished episode.
