  • Comment removed

  • Like this if you remember this from the videogame Shell Shock!

  • First time I heard this was on a early Bo Diddley album about 1959? He was early innovator of that "chop beat" on his guitar which got pretty wore out. He named his guitar some girl name..

I always liked this one ever since., And now I've heard it by Juicy Lucy. I nailed her back in the 60's

    ok thats all.

    old guy

  • So I got this record still wrapped in plastic.... Is it worth Anything??!!

  • IM AMERICAN, IM 16 YEARS OLD, AND EVERY WHERE I WALK I THINK IM IN NAM' LOL!! SORRY FOR THE CAPPS

  • @rebelsoldier121 LMAO*

  • It took me quite some time to find this cover. There are about 30 covers of this song, but I've found it, and love it. :)

  • Funny story: So I seriously thought I came up with the coolest band name EVER today, and it turns out 'Juicy Lucy' is taken. WHAT WERE THE ODDS?!?! Sexi Lexi didn't work either. So much for trying to make hilarious alliteration. So yeah... that's how I got to know this band.

  • GET SOOOOOOOOOOOME.

  • my friend: why do you always talk about the vietnam war, why do know so much about it

me: well your just too sane to understand Nam was pure insanity but so is most wars. give a boy a gun and promise him all the money and hot girls he can fuck and he'll agree to shoot anything you tell him to, thats why my grandfather joined. Now also add grief, anger, fear and drugs (not saying everyone did) to the mix and you have yourself the average grunt in Vietnam at the time.

  • 3 people are VC

  • Well the awesome Who Do You Love? by bo diddley has been ruined for me

  • ray owen singing ...contact on facebook.....myspace......original singer of Who do you love with the original juicy Lucy 196969/70

  • originally cut by Screaming Jay Hawkins - amazing rock 'singer' who had a skull on a stick as part of his act. Canadian I think (him, not the skull!)

  • @DoctorRadio I always thought it was Ronnie Hawkins...

  • @electricragtime lol I thought it was Bo Diddley all this time ... so now I gotta look it up for myself.

loved the Hawk doing Mary Lou .... peace brother

  • @5871248 Yeah it was Bo Diddley..... I was just been a pedantic asshole to the other guy.....I actually uploaded a version myself and credited it to Bo......not the greatest cover in the world but I enjoyed beating the crap outta my guitar.....Kev

  • I used to have the Single of this on Vertigo....

  • CoNsPiRaCy93, shshshhhhhhh.......listen to the music...

  • Titeltrack von Shellshock Nam 67 !! Hammer !! THX für den Upload !!

  • My favourite version of "Who Do You Love"!

Glenn Ross Campbell: is there a better exponent of the Steel Guitar?...

If so i'm yet to here them. Glenn Ross Campbell features on a DVD called Supershow with the Band The Misunderstood (song- Bad Hat) and performs probably the finest Steel Guitar solo ever... Supershow also features performances by Buddy Guy, Buddy Miles, Colosseum, Stephen Stills, Jack Bruce and Eric Clapton. If you come across it, Buy it... Incredible DVD!!!

  • awesome nam 67

  • shellshock nam67 is the best fps war game ever made

  • Shellshock NAM was not a first person shooter

  • shellshock is third person dude

  • Anyhoo for those not actually into death and war as entertainment...

The song was originally done by Bo Diddley

  • I cant really belive what im reading here! I served in veitnam 67-69. And Yes iconzero it was survival horror! Not the sort of thing we should make video games about to encourage the next generation. theres nothing glamerous or great about war! OK you guys just think its fun scoring more points. Is it fun when your best friend is screaming out in pain and theres nothing you can do to help? Theres no reset button in life, i wish there was.

  • I like these games as players can at least get a better feel of what it was like in NAM but i agree with you the younger generations wont ever truely experience the horror you and your commrads went through and i believe the only reason why games like this aint banned is because they brain wash young boys into thinking killing is cool and war is fun i personaly would only join as a medic to try and put the poor basterds back together me being 16 I would like to thank you for your sacrifice

  • What a mature thing to say for your age, kudos to you friend! (i'm 17, i feel old now...:(, but i think the exact same!)

  • COD4, MW2, fuck all you guys Shell Shock: 'Nam '67 was the best war game ever and best 3rd person shooter

  • That....Are wise words right there

  • HIGH WAR REALISM! But so old! X(

  • @jstarang1 too bad the sequel was terrible.

  • @jstarang1 i disagree....SOCOM was and still is thumbs up for SOCOM 4

  • @jstarang1 i disagree....SOCOM was and still is thumbs up for SOCOM 4

  • @jstarang1 Hell Yeah!

  • @jstarang1 Fuck yea bro! Big time.

  • @jstarang1 Yeah alot better than shitty New Black Ops Conflict Vietnam was good so was Vietcong, but shellshock was Nam 67 was boss, its sucks that the sequal to it sucked ass.

  • that was a greatest vietnam era game ever.

  • shell shock nam is a awesome !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Me enamoré de esta banda! GRacias por compartirlo! :)

  • heard this on shellshock nam' 67

  • Saw 'em at the Lyceum in '69ish and I'd have sworn Neil Hubbard was with them then...I could be wrong of course.Lol

  • well i was only 15-16 at the time

  • I remember buying this singe when i was 15-16

And my mum freaked because of the cover, still a classic great!

  • Juicy Lucy was a moderately obscure British band founded by American (US) Glen Campbell on steel guitar. The real charm was the band itself, especially singer Paul Williams who went on to sing for numerous bands and under his own name. They were very tuned in to the prevailing spirit of the early 70's and were excellent hosts for the few days i spent on the road with them. They took in a 16 year who had his thumb in the wind and made him feel at home.

  • conspiracy93 you never served in fuckin nam

  • probably played Shellshock 'Nam 67.

  • Comment removed

  • @CoNsPiRaCy93 Im sure you have seen some things man

  • That's my friend Ray in the middle. Brilliant guy.

  • Totally badass song. Also, I've been looking everywhere for a song by I'm pretty sure it's John Lee Hooker (I think it plays at the end credits). Can anyone tell me what it's called? I really, really want it :o

  • This is a cover of 'Who Do You Love' by Bo Diddley.

  • Ray Owen is Juicy Lucy

  • yea it reallly sets the mood in shellshock

  • hell yeah, love that game, to bad the number 2 of the game was some s***

  • once had lucy jam in the front room of a house i shared after they played in Barnstaple needless to say the local cuntstabulary put an end to it but what a great few hours

  • the dogs bollocks

  • classic...different mixes by lucy of this about too...1000*

  • That's the shit! Quality... Prob my fave version along with The Doors' rendition.

  • Juicy Lucy rocks .... dig the beat!!!

  • Glenn Ross Campbell incredible on the Pedal Steel Guitar!

Check him out on the DVD 'Supershow' with the Misunderstood (Song 'Bad Hat'), it will blow your mind!!!. Wonderful DVD also includes performances by Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, Buddy Guy, Buddy Miles, Colosseum, Stephen Stills to name but a few... Original Show also had an awesome version of 'Dazed And Confused' by Led Zeppelin but for some reason they have excluded this from the DVD.

  • Saw Juicy Lucy at Bridlington Spa in 1970, went on motorbikes with mates, and when on stage a speaker or amp blew up, smoke everywhere. GREAT times

  • Shellshock Nam` 67 is the most awesome game i`ve ever played and this song is FUCKIN awesome too

  • That game just oozes style. Fucking love it.

  • @flippinfuck Too bad the song came out in 1969

  • @whitetrashoutlaw i know but it doesent matter i just like this song

    and that game

  • @flippinfuck GAME! exactly that a game! im not going to be one of these hole vets you see or hear about. I didnt do much but it was tough. So a little bit of respect please, a game is just that

  • Great song still got it on 45 vinyl

  • "Who do you love" was written by

Ellas McDaniel, better known as Bo Diddley.

It soon became a "classic" and a lot of bands covered it.

One of the best versions is by George Thorogood.

Also Doors, Rolling Stones, Grateful Dead did it.

  • nam67 was great. but the 2nd one sucked

  • yea man i thought shellshock 2 was gonna be a realistic ass vietnam game, cuz the first one was badass

  • does anyone know where i can get the mp3 for this?

  • Youtube to MP3 converter.

  • use replay media centre record the video and then convert to p3 format. its a free online program

  • Stills sounds as fresh to day as ever and it was amazing in 1970

  • They performed the song on Top of the Pops - I was amazed - I'd never seen lap top guitar played like that before - nor since.

  • I saw them in 1970 at the Fillmore East as a support act to Lee Michaels and Cactus. Glenn Campbell (the British pedal steel phenom) was amazing. They even covered "Willie the Pimp"!

  • Saw them ine 1969 I think at the Top Rank club in Liverpool at a freshers ball for Liverpool uni. They played along with a number of other groups that inc Quintessence. Who do you love had just hit the charts and the organisers were extremely pleased they managed to book them so cheaply before they charted. They brought the house down as I recall with Who do you love along with a few other songs I can't recall.

  • I was there too, and I'm sure it was 1970. I'm also sure the other group playin was The Elastic Band.....what a great gig and value for money. I was 17 at the time and goin out with a married woman....aahhh, happy days!

  • Yes NAM67 was fantastic. Shame they blew it with the Shellshock 2... ={

  • @Mundicai yah they fucked up shellshock with zombies in 2 they should have regular vietnam war with multiplayer

  • this songs reminds me of Shellshock Nam 67... :)

  • hell fuckin yeah

  • lol first time i played that game it was stunning FREAKIN AWSOMEE, but this song made the menu awsome i started lookin for this song when i played that game;) awsomee man !!

  • This is one of the best cover.

  • Awesome, one of the very first singles and albums I bought, the guys are still touring, were in Wales recently.George Thorogood does a very good version of this as well. Thanks for sharing this, brught back many happy memories

  • Vietnan = Hell

    watch We Are Soldiers.

  • sorry I mean We Where Soldiers

  • Detta var inte bland det bästa jag har hört.

Då menar jag ljudmässigt framställt. Rent musikaliskt är det ju upp till var och en att avgöra om man gillar apdynga eller ej,

    //Over and out!

    //Sebastian Svahn

  • This song reminds me of the whole Vietnam era and yes i did play Shellshock lol

  • i played it to! lol

  • First I have listened this band on radio... I tried to find it but it's very hard...

  • Saw JL at the Kings Head in Romford Market late 60's !!!

  • This single was V1 - the very first single on Vertigo. The version on the Juicy Lucy album is slighly different.Mickey Moody played guitar in the band before joining loads of other bands including The Mickey Moody Band!

  • goood

  • I think Neil Hubbard played guitar on this album,he later joined the Grease Band and Kokomo. He went to my school.Kings School Peterborough.

  • Good version, but the ultimate as far as I'm concerned is by The Misunderstood. Glenn Ross Campbell plays steel guitar on both this and The Misunderstood's version.

  • ahhhhhhhhhh i loved this song from nam'67 and now the second one they fucked up i mean shellshock was not ment to be a zombie game!!!!

  • Well at least we're getting another one.

The idea is unique too. A survival horror set in the jungles of 'Nam. How awesome does that sound?

  • Survival horror? That's what Nam 67 was!

  • shellshock nam 67 was awesome. second one looks pretty legit too. and theyre not zombies. theyre infected with a chemical agent called White Knight

  • awesome version fuck didi this is 70s bitch

  • This is an Bo Diddley song, but I like this version even better.

  • indeed, it is. when did they release this song? 1969?

  • Yeah, you're right.

Those were the days weren't they?

I've heard many different versions of this song, by lots of bands.

But this remains my favorite version by far.

  • oldFan I sure would like to here Hello LA Goodbye Birmingham

  • I can mail you the mp3. Don't have time to make a vid and upload it here

  • i know this song from shellshock nam '67 ps2 game. what a great song.

  • This was the first single to be released on the legendary Vertigo label which is happily still alive and kicking today with acts like Metallica, Razorlight, and Mark Knopfler. Great song. Didn't someone else cover this song and have a hit with it as well?

  • this band owns this song
