This makes me wonder who really did the voice of Sauron. Obviously it has been manipulated in post to make it sound this way, but I wonder who they get to say the words.
i don't get what's the point with th- HAIL SAURON, LORD OF THE RINGS AND MASTER OF THE WORLD. SAURON IS THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE LORD, THE LORD OF DREADFUL DARKNESS AND MASTER OF ALL MORTAL SOULS. ASH NAZG DURBATULUK, ASH NAZG GIMBATUL. ASH NAZG THRAKATULUK AGH BURZUM-ISHI KRIMPATUL. DAGHBURZ ISHI MAKHA GULSHU DARULU. - woah...
on another note, I was always confused about the witch king honestly believing he was strong enough to kill gandalf. totally and utterly confused. what was he thinking, and why is there a level of apprehension about anyone or anything in middle earth killing gandalf except someone of his own caliber?
thought I read somewhere tolkien saying sauron is not "stronger" on account of having more attributes as much as having both the advantage of his master and also himself woven into the very fabric of m.e. like inhabiting a house. the "ghost in the machine".
In part three the speaking of sauron in rivendell when all are argumenting with each other and you only see the ring en and flame over all who argument. Frodo then decides to take the ring to mordor.
@r4p3d1nm0u7h No Sauron isnt a wizard he was the Servant of Morgoth(Morgoth made the Balrogs and was the master of all evil) Go read the SImmalirion and youlle see it.
@r4p3d1nm0u7h Both Sauron and the Wizards are spirits older than the world know as the Maiar - you could call them angels. They are serving "greater spirits" known as the Valar - you could call them gods. Sauron served the evil Vala Melkor-Morgoth, the original Dark Lord. After the good Valar defeated Melkor, Sauron took his place. Valar then send some of their own servants to Middle-Earth to fight against Sauron. They are know as the Wizards. And yes, Sauron is stronger than them.
@Feanorielle So in Middle-Earth, "Wizard" isn't a normal person who has learned magic, but an angel disguised as an old man belonging to a specific order with the mission of defeating Sauron, a fallen angel. If you wonder why the Valar aren't doing the job themselves, let's just the spirits fighting with each other tends to change geography. "Whole subcontinents sinking into the sea, seashores changing their place and new mountain ranges being born" kind of change.
@pli31295 No the Witch King is more the Lich King in WoW...Sauron is way to powerfull for that...Not to mention that the Witch king of Angmar ruled Angmar before (Angmar is a cold, icy place just like Icecrown) also WoW stole the Witch kings building architecture, (big black iron things and stuff)
Oh my GODDDDDD!!! Does anyone else wish they could just do the voice at "build me an army..."? Imagine if you could do the echoiness too - you'd never get mugged again...
@xMandalorex i actually wanted the black speech part in the council to go on forever. damn, that was sick. and maybe a riff by the devil wears prada to follow.
Can't believe they placed the Sauron/Aragon, Witch King/Gandalf & Mouth Piece of Sauron scenes in the extended version. They would have rocked in the original ROTK!
@TheMrwouldyourather I got your statement in the first place so no need to explain it. I just disagree with you, like i said i think neither of the chars is, in your words shit. I just find they are both cool and both universes have got amazing charaters and lore.
@Stijn7260 lol you're making this harder than it should be... mkay, ONE more time: calling something shit was, in this instance, not calling it bad or disrespecting it at all. For example I love action scenes in movies, so say if I went to see Fast Five and saw an intense scene I'd say "man, that shit was insane!" Was I calling it a bad scene? No, no I wasn't. I was just making reference to it vaguely. Same thing with this here, I'm saying it's "stuff from WoW". What's there to disagree with?

There is no life in the void.. only death... i think that is a referance to the void in the beginning of time when illuvatar made the ainur play the beautiful music that crafted the void into what it is now
When Sauron says most of these words except when he talks to Frodo and to Saruman, he sounds as if hes muttering some magic spells. But this is why I liked him best in The Fellowship of the Ring because at least he has some important lines and roles. However in the second and third films, he became a joke because he does not play as many important roles as he does in this film and he doesnt talk much either dont you all agree.
What has lenght and "being strong" for importance in an contest Gothmog versus Sauron? Sauron, at least in the first age, had other qualities that Gothmog only could dream on. You are not Melkors wingman of a coincidence.
sauron sucks ... he was powerfull before the ring existed then he makes this stupid ring. And then dies when his fuckin fingers are being chopped off o.o how stupid is that. So much for an angel of the gods o.o sauron was lucky guns didnt exist or someone would just sniper his finger and is killed instantly
@madkiller566 Wrong, they weren't gogs, they where more like Archangels-Seraphims if you measure comparing to the celestial hierarchy. Eru Iluvatar was the only true god in Lotr and the only who sometimes spoke with him was Manwe(king of Earth).
@madkiller566 the ring increased his power and his influence over most of middle earth, he didnt die when his finger was cut off, he was only defeated when the ring was destroyed, the films changed a few things, also bullets arent made from fine elf metals and may not damage sauron
i think in the movie, they first say - "...gûm-ishi... ashi... gurum (in the void only death)"
later, it almost seems like the ring is saying something (it always is, when it is in the close up shot in the movie actually), and then the wraiths say something that doesn't sound to me like - Gû kîbum kelkum-ishi, burzum-ishi.
sounds more like - akush darurum... (something, somethin), akush darurum...
@TheStormtrooper00 Hes a Maia spirit like Gandalf, brought into the world at the beginning of time to aid the valar, (angels) of middle-earth, to build the world. In particular he helped Aule the vala who was like the spirit of the earth. However, he was corrupted by melkor (morgoth).

At the time of the lord of the rings he is chained in the 'void' by the other valar who eventually overcome him.
@TheStormtrooper00 Actually, in movie he is tall but in books hes about average mans height maybe 195cms at most at most. in movie hes about 9-10foot.
@Mindaugas7100 tolkien wrote "The form that he took was that of a man of more than human stature, but not gigantic" so it seems he was taller than most in the books as well, id say the films got it about right
@40019974 Sauron was around 8 foot tall or so because Gil galad was about 7 and so was elendil, while Gothmog was like 12-13foot tall, just huge black balrog.
Mhm, there are some on Amon Sul, to me it sounded like before Mr.F. put the ring your reckording "ishi" then "ashi" and moment before F. put it "go" with echo, and when F. lied in shaddow: "Of course you'll die after that lie cursed in the dark" That sounded a bit like that, with strange, female-like breath in back.
