They are serving "greater spirits" known as the Valar - you could call them gods. Sauron served the evil Vala Melkor-Morgoth, the original Dark Lord. After the good Valar defeated Melkor, Sauron took his place. Valar then send some of their own servants to Middle-Earth to fight against Sauron. They are know as the Wizards. And yes, Sauron is stronger than them.

@Feanorielle So in Middle-Earth, "Wizard" isn't a normal person who has learned magic, but an angel disguised as an old man belonging to a specific order with the mission of defeating Sauron, a fallen angel. If you wonder why the Valar aren't doing the job themselves, let's just the spirits fighting with each other tends to change geography. "Whole subcontinents sinking into the sea, seashores changing their place and new mountain ranges being born" kind of change.

When Sauron says most of these words except when he talks to Frodo and to Saruman, he sounds as if hes muttering some magic spells. But this is why I liked him best in The Fellowship of the Ring because at least he has some important lines and roles. However in the second and third films, he became a joke because he does not play as many important roles as he does in this film and he doesnt talk much either dont you all agree.

Mhm, there are some on Amon Sul, to me it sounded like before Mr.F. put the ring your reckording "ishi" then "ashi" and moment before F. put it "go" with echo, and when F. lied in shaddow: "Of course you'll die after that lie cursed in the dark" That sounded a bit like that, with strange, female-like breath in back. It might be language of Mordor, but might be not. And, it might be that Witch-King said the last line. Also, there was one moment in Bagend, where Frodo and Gandalf were talking.
