@danification4 You do realize there are plenty of professionals that use them? He plays without them in other videos as well. It all depends on what he's going for. A pick makes it sound different, but it's no easier to play. A lot of guitarists grow out their nails on their picking hand for the same effect. Learn about the kid before you comment.

Before concluding that Sungha "cannot play" without picks, you should examine his videos more carefully than you apparently have. In his early videos, he didn't use picks, and in his most recent video, posted today, he doesn't use them. So it's obvious, at least to most of us, that he is capable of playing with or without them.

I think the difference between you and most people who enjoy Sungha's music is that most are tolerant enough to allow a 14-year old to experiment.
