@srproducshons I would suggest not. I played the first level without a shield pretty easy. Unless you are in Hero Mode then I highly recommend getting a shield.

Hey, just a word of advice, the Wii motion plus reads wrist movements. so when you thrust the remote forward, if your wrist makes a sideways motion at the same time, then Link will do a sideways slash. See what I'm sayin'? Just make sure you pay attention to your wrist's movement as that can affect combat significantly.

the beetle looks kinda like a cross between the boomerang and the seagulls from windwaker. honestly for speed and multiple targets i'd prefer the boomerang, but having an on command fetcher/cutter/aerial scout is a good alternative. and who knows, maybe its upgradeable?

There is a game glitch during Song of the Hero quest-it makes it impossible to continue if it happens.1.At the beginning of the quest, go to Lanayru Desert to retrieve the song of the Thunder Dragon.

2.In the Lanayru Mine, speak with Golo the Goron.

3.Complete the Thunder Dragon's event, and receive his song.

4.Before heading to the forest or volcano regions, speak with Golo in the mine again.

5.At this point, the forest and volcano events will no longer occur, making it impossible to continue.
