This is a great review and I do like the way you put things into light but unfortunately I already saw two other reviews where the bag did fail for a few people and some of the seems did come off in certain pressure points so to say that the material is indestructible clearly shows that you haven't put the bag into much use.
@BravingTheOutDoors You're absolutely correct, I haven't spent a serious amount of time with this bag yet. However, I do have many many hours with their other mexped bags which I have quite a few of. My comments were based on my experience there with the same material which has been extremely positive. In addition, the failures of a few people certainly don't represent the design as a whole, but I'll see if I can find what you're talking about so I know more about what you're referring to.
@tonitchit nope its not big enough. you can put food, gloves a few small towels. but if you want to put clothes then you need to look for some other bag.
Thanks! As far as the tattoo goes, I'll give you a hint. It has something to do with the 1138 in my youtube handle and a recent show on television (although I got the tattoo before the show).
Those drain-holes to let the water out also let the water in! You can not put the bag on the ground when it is wet! I'd rather not have those drain-holes!
I agree.. I wish they'd include something to plug them up if you didn't want them. I think the problem is, the fabric is so water resistant that it does not breath very well. So if any moister gets into the bag it will have no where to escape, that's my guess as to why they all have holes like that. They would be easy to plug and something I'll probably experiment with myself. My jumbo versipack doesn't have holes, so I'm not sure about this one. Good points!
It would need some kind of one-way valve: letting water out, but not in! A tiny ping-pong-like ball that will push shut the whole when water tries to get in, but will yield when water goes out would work - or something like that.

I thought it looked a little bit like Quake.
All I'm finding, searched it on Google, is THX 1138 by George Lucas

Think Star Wars... =) Although I don't think most people will recognize the symbol since it was only recently seen more often in the new cartoon.

Do you mean the 26 episode Star Wars Clone Wars cartoon because that was an awesome show

Where the zippers meet at those side-pockets it will not be water-proof, right?
boomtao 2 years ago
correct.. the zippers are not water resistant, only the fabric is.

Awesome bag. I prefer something a bit larger which could double as an overnight bag, but I love all the pockets and dividers. Thanks for sharing!

yeah agreed, I'm partial to backpacks, but this has it's place where a backpack might be too large or awkward depending on the situation.
