I am really interested in attending CIES when I am older. I'd really love to rehabilitate horses as a career after going to CIES. I know that it won't be a job that will make me hundreds of thousands of dollars, or even any money, really, but I am perfectly okay with that. As long as I'm afloat financially, I'd rather spend money on horses that need help than on expensive cars and jewelry and such.

Sounds perfect. You should come to one of our youth camps sometime... Spring Break they are $190 for 3 hrs a day for 4 days, or $380 for full day. We could probably get you set up with a homestay with one of our volunteers.

Wow! That sounds awesome. :D Unfortunately money is really tight right now, so paying for the plane ride up there and then the actual fee's probably wouldn't be realistic. But maybe I'll save up for next year! :D

I hear ya. Well, if you find a plane ticket in a rain gutter Charlie and the Chocolate Factory style, you can come volunteer with us and that would get you off to a great start :)

Thanks, we totally agree. We have no paid staff, not even for feeding and mucking, and receive no tax money, so we're really proud of what we can accomplish.

I think it is sweet that you ride outside of the arena and have a good enough relationship with your pony that she'll brave the beach and ocean with you. A lot of ponies would get really scared and refuse to go near the water because they didn't feel like their owner could make good decisions that wouldn't endanger them. She must trust you a lot.

That's awesome that you've been riding for so long. I live in the states and have a Mustang that was rounded up in Wyoming (u know, like Spirt of the Cimmaron). She's the buckskin in my profile pic. I hope you get a horse soon! Is that Horse World place anywhere near you? They do clicker training like the rescue I volunteer at at and in the video I saw it said they do adoptions...

hmm I don't think there is..we have a 'redwings' which is like a horse centre they rescue horses......heard of rspca? We have that for al animals...=D
