  • Very interesting...my hobby is genealogy. My family - BUTTON - originated in Framlingham, Dennington etc in the 16th - 18th centuries before striking off for London and, in the 20th century 'the colonies.' I've been watching a BBC drama set in Suffolk - Injustice - and there's a nasty murder in Framlingham. So good to see it's not all bent coppers and psychotic barristers ;-)

  • I'm pleased the vid interested you @bergkamp48 Nick Jenkins who made the audio (and so the narrative) for this slide show has got funding to make audio guides of seven market towns north of here. Google sounding board productions

  • I went to school in Framlingham. Nothing to do, nowhere to go. Life seems to move a snail's pace. Anti-social people. I used to go stir-crazy there. Glad I moved away!

  • lovely bell-ringing, but suffolk people are definitely the most anti-social people i have ever known

-having worked with local people, I can only say again, they are the nastiest people I have ever known

  • I always got the impression everyones very nice, going out for a night drinking or shopping or at the library or barbers, but then I've never been really intigrated, so perhaps I'm missing something.

  • I grew up here as a very young child.

Church bells, the green fields, wild rabbits, my mothers friends Rose Garden, Picking apples to make wine, the rivers, ducks, riding my bike around the castle. Great wonderful memories that I will never forget!

  • It's still very pleasant A though, like everywhere, it's changing ... lot's more Fram vids on the right there.
