I have the same guitar I think. As a classical guitarist I have not used it very much. The fretboard on mine is ebony also. I have seen some that have a lighter wood fretboard. Are all the early models ebony? Also, I assume yours has a volume control for each string, just asking because you did not mention it. Great playing makes me miss Chet. 5 stars easy. Peace
