I don't understand all the chatter going back and forth that I've read below, but this sport/game/activity looks super cool. Certainly more interesting than my indoor range shooting that I've been doing. I'm looking forward to getting involved with the USPSA soon! Thanks for the video, nicely done!
This is always the argument that gets started. Look if you like one over the other then shoot it. I have shot both for years and enjoy both with the thought in mind they are all trigger time. NONE of the games truly prepare your for what real combat is. So shoot have fun and enjoy the GAME OF IT ALL.
@prc77509 just sayin', I thought it was "united states PRACTICAL shooting association"
Let's be practical here---how many conceal and carry a 5-6 inch barrel 1911 with beveled mag-well and a eotech red dot site? Clearly there are some realistic shooters in this video but lots of "unrealistic" stuff too.
@TheGlockaholic is it practical enough if they use it as their nightstand gun? come on dude it's a competition with many levels. just enjoy it for what it is and stop being a debbie downer.
@TheGlockaholic Yeah, because IDPA is SO realistic. Peer around a corner and there is a guy with a knife to your neck but because you saw his buddy who is 50 yards away and behind a wall first, you gotta engage him before knife to your throat guy. And how many gun fights have you heard of where the shooter did a RWR or Tactical Reload? Both of them have silly rules and both are GAMES. To each their own.
@TheGlockaholic i carry a glock with a docter site every day. Practical is in reference to the skill set used/needed to complete the course. this is practical shooting, as opposed to bench rest or bullseye. practical skills that you will or would use in a real life situation. but its still a game, and all games need rules. would it make you happy if they made no concession to the guys that want to spend 5k on a gun? stock gun compete in stock class. you suck.
I shoot here often..Harvard Sportsmans, New England USPSA AREA 7. Very Nice Range and Great People.

propaganda... pure and simple.
You go out and they beat you to death with nit-picky rules.
I find it hysterical that this is a Ruger Clip and my STOCK KP944 was questioned

I like how he's wearing a Winchester jacket for a Ruger segment lol

yeah, real world. Extra long barreled-low recoil 9mm with a reflex site on it. What is the sport in that? I'll stick to IDPA.
