  • Saudia take off performance policy is to use the least thrust required. As Riyadh has long runways and no obstacles the t/o power is reduced to the absolute minimum. That is the reason for the seemingly slow takeoff. Furthermore, the weights are fairly high. Even though Lahore is a short flight, taking fuel for out/back is common due to the very low (practically nil) price paid by SV for fuel in the kingdom.
