  • Oh so thats what religion needs in it more hate, i think there a enough already.

  • I'm a Christian and I find this disgusting myself.. -___-' No one should be allowed to bully/hate on anyone, but we should be able to discuss opinions they are willing; freedom of speech and all.. Besides that's not in the Scripture at all; no where does it say "Hate on all those who disagree with my Word." or whatever.

  • i wish there was a hell so that all Christian's could go there for all of their ridiculous beliefs!!!

  • who ever the fuck thinks that people are allowed to bully teenagers because of their religion you deserve to be ass fucked by a baseball bat and impaled on the white house front lawn.

  • This is not a debate about freedom of speech anymore. It's protecting hate speech. Would if my religion called for the harassment and disapproval of people of a certain ethnicity. Would it be okay for me to go around shouting "nigger, kike, gook, chink " as well as other derogatory terms? Absolutely not. Calling someone a "fag" is JUST as bad. This is heinous and a vile, disgusting excuse for a bill.

  • @pookiebear32

Nothing in this law lets anybody go up and verbally abuse someone, because that's harrassment, a crime. All this law protects is freedom of speech and freedom of religion. It ensures that Christians, Muslims or whoever, wont face criminal or disciplinary reprimand for opposing homosexuality.

You are the ignorant one, and this law is scaremongering. It provides absolutely no protection whatsoever for direct harrassment, it simply protects free speech.

  • maple50,you are everything that is wrong with religion-you are not "driven by love",you only hate, like the worst kind of coward-you hide like rats behind your false altar- you imply that being gay is a "choice", or an "addiction",or "wrongdoing"? Really?? You and your kind have no truth of the gospel, you are empty and cold and black inside-your religion is as false as your empty, pathetic lives demonstrate...

  • It's funnier to talk shit to a christian, than to talk shit to a gay anyways.....

  • @maple50 (I didn't see the first comment)... If fear was the motivation do you really think people would be sacrificing their lives? Wouldn't you think that the fear of being imprisoned, beaten, tortured, and distorted stop them? No my friend, we as Christians are driven by love. We have the truth of the gospel of Christ that can free anybody and everybody from the addiction and wrong-doings in their life. God has freed us and we want to help others be free because the inexpressible joy we have!

  • its like being in hitler youth. go bully your own tiny cock

  • @maple50 What horrible things are Christians called to do? Christian's get their calling from the Bible. Just because there are a few spoiled apples doesn't mean the whole bunch is. Have you ever actually read where we get our beliefs from? Christian means follower of Christ. Jesus Christ is the ultimate role-model on how we should live our lives.

  • Everyone was devastated for September's Children in 2010 such as Billy Lucas, Seth Walsh and Tyler Clementi.

But now they're trying to make bullying against homosexuals okay? That has to be the stupidest law I've ever heard of in my life, if it passes then the amount of teen suicide will increase drastically.

  • @kelvind09 By your logic then, the suicide rate would have been higher before the law was ever in place.....hmmmm, think about it

  • @evnwood How so?

  • @sgal88 at the wedding feast, he's like 'woman, why do you involve me!' when she tells him there's no more wine. haha, he's incredibly dismissive of her. another time mary asks to see him, he tells the disciple who brings him the message 'i have no time for her! send her away! i am with my family now!'

i'm not trying to characterize him as a mother-hater or anything, just to say he's flawed like anyone else.

  • @taffysaur Impressive. U know not Scripture& yet assume u do. 1st of all, if Jesus did do that, what u think he did, he'd commit imperfection & He can't cause He's God. 2nd, calling her woman was done on purpose to refer to her as Our Mother & to refer to her as the woman from Genesis 3:15, who will stomp the devil. 3rd, the last example does not exist. U might be referring to the verse when they say that Her mother wants to see him & he says those who r good are my mother etc.

  • They are a disgrace to all Christians!!!!!!!

  • has anyone notived that all the comments that make sense have been marked as spam?

  • we already have sexism, racism and we bully disabled people, stupid people, atheists why dont we go the whole way and bully everyone who doesnt quite fit in to society :D ok that was sarcastic btw :P

  • The title of this video is a complete lie. What the legislature sought to protect was simply the freedom of Christians to hold & express their views. This is not bullying!!!!!! But, if you think it is bullying and seek to stop it then you have actually become the bully!! I am deeply offended by the views & expressions of the one who posted this video, but I believe in Tolerance and freedom of thought & speech, so I wouldn't deny him his rights. But Christians have the same rights.

  • @cda76er Go too church if you wanna discuss religion....School is for learning facts.. :/

  • @disposablefreedom

Only tyrants demand that people restrict their religion to church & home. Christians live our religion. In fact, there's a name for those who don't: Hypocrites. All schools teach de facto religious values & base their curricula on certain unprovable & untestable beliefs, such as laws of logic & ethics. The notion of "private religion" is simply an excuse 2 suppress other views in favor of a Secular Humanist worldview. . .

  • cont. Ironically, imposing this is an establishment of religion. The assumption that God did not create the universe is an example of a de facto religious assumption that underlies public education. Christians have been supporting a public educational system that illegitimately undermines our beliefs for years. But, when the State begins to tell us we can't express our beliefs then we are obligated to resist, in the spirit of the Apostle Peter, who said to those who told him to shut up:

  • Part 3 "Judge for yourselves whether it is right for us to obey God or man." While many will be afraid to speak up, others won't be. U will have 2 kill us 2 shut us up & we will not fear this because we believe The Truth is more important than our lives. This is actually 4 your benefit whether u see it or not. So we will continue to express our conviction that homosexuality is sinful, but God shows mercy and grace to sinners who Admit their sin, Believe in Christ & Commit 2 following Him.

  • *provocative

  • Elders and peers have a right to express their views and even attempt to convince individuals to see their point of view. However, until one's beliefs go so far as to directly interefere with another individual's right to liberty and security in their person, no action should be taken and goes against the very fabric this nation was built upon.

  • When this comes becomes an issue is when people decide to single out and persecute individuals for their personal habits and beliefs. This falls under the chategory of clear and present danger and is more commonly reffered to as a hate crime. Until individuals have been singled out for their ideologies, lifestyles, or sexual orientations "bullying" has not occured. Only when this is the case should any action be taken.

  • Under the 1st amendment of the constitution individuals are guaranteed freedom of speech. This was designed to secure the individual's right not only to express popular or "normal" opinions, but also to allow people to say controversial and provokative things. If there is no clear and present danger and an individual is not working to insight a riot, then that indivual has a right to his/ her beliefs.

  • @airsoftgf

yes but that right goes both ways, and both are scathing. is a learning environment the best place for these ideas to be expressed?

  • @maple50 Christians are called to love and be kind to all people, even if they are attacked. Is that a disease? Christians are called to serve the homeless, give to the needy and widowed. Is that a disease? What you call a disease is what inspired many people to serve and help the unfortunate in 3rd world countries, sacrificing their lives. Christianity is not a disease, its the cure. Man corrupts Christianity. Are your beliefs motivating you to make the world a better place?

  • @cdizz74 What inspires christians to help the poor or the needy is the fear that they are going to burn if they don't. Christians are NOT the only ones that help out. I bet a good 75% of the christians that go on missions would NOT think of going on missions if they weren't fearing that they would burn for eternity.

  • @cdizz74 Christians are called to love and be kind to all people? Christians are also called to do many horrible things. Christians cherry pick from the bible to give their religion a "good impression" on the rest of the world so that they too could follow the blind and weakminded faith

  • If (and I say IF) homosexuality is a choice and can be ridiculed and discounted in school, Christianity can be ridiculed and discounted as well because religion is a choice. As long as people continue to bicker and fight over beliefs, this world will be divided and cannot progress as a united human race.

  • Why am i not shocked?

Christians have been bullying people for 2000 years. They are being bullied by god every day and we know what usually happens to victims of bullying, they think it's right to do it to other people.

Another example of religion being man made.

Valerian7 is spot on with their comment below.

  • WHAT THE HELL!!

  • i'm going to bully you because my imaginary friend said your wrong... jokers!

  • Not all Christians are this stupid.

  • @dabear1020 You're absolutely right. I'm a Christian and I find this offensive. If you ask me, I think that NO Christian has any "right" to torment ANYONE just because they are a homosexual. What TRUE Christians believe, not the ones who persecute but THE REAL CHRISTIANS, is that homosexuals should be treated as people but the gay behavior should be suppressed. Humans are separate from animals because we can suppress our sexual urges if we just try, so we should show that example to others.

  • Don't understand why anybody would think religion is an excuse to do anything

i really don't see why it should be considered in anyone's thinking whatsoever, feel free to practice in your own way but do not think that it means anything at all to anyone else! and do not impose beliefs...

  • Lol they need a bill to pass so people can say controversial views?

There is already a law called the first amendment that lets them express their view on sexuality.

Not everyone is going to agree with gay sex, let them express their views.

If they are harassing someone then their is already laws to handle harassment.

I think the legality of hate speech is in violation of the first amendment, ofcourse so is the patriot act and the NDAA so, whatever...

  • @TheGeneralOfWar with gay sex? what does that have to do with this? people arent having sex in public..

  • So can an atheist express a 'right' to bully people that have an unintelligent thought process like all religious people. At what point does this new law breach basic HUMAN RIGHTS? Is is ok for a muslim to say death to the infidel because it is in their religion?

  • I wish these idiots believed in abortion so they wouldn't fucking breed. Seriously, fuck off. Homophobic Christians are less mentally capable than retards.

  • No offense to all the good americans, mostly all the people who have commented on this video. But, AMERICA IS ABSOLUTELY FUCKED UP!! I'm glad I live in the UK!! :s

  • christians and any religious person give me a hard time to believe in faith

  • Disgusting. What's so stupid about this is that these so called "Christians" feel that they need to say anything to gay students as if their harming words would change someones sexual identity. You can bully, tease, beat and bash a gay kid, but no matter how long or hard or viscious your attacks may be, it is not going to make the kid straight. All it will do is harm the child mentally. This IS CHILD ABUSE and can not be tollerated. No one's religious beliefs give them the right to harm others.

  • @rbjnla No one is advocating bully or beating anybody up, they just want people to be able to express their view that they don't like it or don't agree with it. There is nothing wrong with that. If kids are picking on other kids for any reason at school than there is already school rules and other laws that covers bullying. Its called harassment and it covers everything, including picking on someone for gender.

  • @rbjnla I was going to write a comment but then i saw this..perfect bravo!

  • fuck god.

  • this is just Fucked up....

  • I thought about making an intelligent post about how much this video offends me, but instead (mostly because this is youtube), I will argue like sooooooo many christians like to argue:

    Fuck you, you fucking fuck.

  • Why are Christians in this country always attacking people unlike themselves? Why are they so scared of gay people? I don't know why the Christians and the Muslim Taliban aren't allies... both hate queers and both have their share of secret dick-lickers.

  • anyone else notice the jesus blow job reference at the top left of video? LOL

  • America is a giant ghetto when it comes to education. They made religion a deadly poison...

  • @TheCreatorOf4 Exactly.

  • @TheCreatorOf4 To clarify, Europe made religion a poison hundreds of years ago. I wont argue, religion in this country has slowed our progress when it comes to social issues. There clearly isn't a "true" separation of church and state. We have great minds and great passions, but for some reason, people can persuade the government to make the most ridiculous decisions that violate individual's rights and that blows my mind.

  • Wow what a fucking no-brainer. Of course this is a license to bully- there is no other way to say it! This bill will basically legalize hate speech against other human beings. GAY STRAIGHT or fucking PURPLE no one has the right ( or should) to bully anybody! This isn't about religion anymore. This is about children getting hurt by this law! I AM SO SICK OF THIS SO-CALLED RELIGIOUS FREEDOM! It doesn't matter what your views on homosexuality are, bullying should never be encouraged. suicide WILL ^

  • @SenBonZAkuraPWNS thats the point :D

  • thats wrong everyone should have the right to bully gay kids

  • i see no problem with this.. athiest are calling christians like me idiots, morons, retards, etc! why is it so wrong to speak our side of the way we think? that doesnt mean its right to call people such things as what i have said but this is a free country.. We can say what we think , and, or believe

  • It's hilarious how the Christers are always whining about how gays and lesbians want "special rights," yet they spend so much time creating special "rights" for themselves, like the "right" to bully LGBT people. What a bunch of hypocritical primitives.

  • America is fucked, glad I dont fucking live there.

  • @maddog187killa Help get me out of here D:

  • @maddog187killa

Homophobia ignited by religion is everywhere. Sadly.

  • @maddog187killa This doesn't represent America, this is one small area on a large map. It is apparent that you need excuses to justify your feelings about America and your statement shows your ignorance.

  • WHAT THE FUCK as a christian i think you shouldnt bully homo's hee only have the right to not support it

  • ....wtf?....

  • WHAT THE FREAKING FUCK!!!!!! ARE YOU RETARDED?'

  • I should have the right to kill christians.

  • @WhatUGawkinAt Why christians? ther are muslims killing thousands of people every year.. sucicide bombers and shootings. Everyone gets mad at christian just because we say its wrong to do something you think is right. i guess the bible does clearly say that we as christians will be blame for all the troubles in the earth and will be persecuted for our beliefs.

  • @shawtyballingskillz what muslims do is not our business. what hindus do isn't either. We, as christ's followers made a promise to be as christ like as humanly possible. love those who wrong you and they will, eventually see that what you represent is the truth of who god would have us be...and if not, then that is entirely up to them. you serve god, you always win. God bless you and keep your chin up, no one said being christ like was easy, but the alternatives are much harder :)

  • @shawtyballingskillz Ummm because this video is about christians. With that being said, shit like this is why they are blamed for so many of the worlds troubles...they ARE the cause of them.

  • flag flag flag use ya meleon

  • christianity is a fucking disease...

  • @maple50 A flesh eating virus from the inside out :D

  • @maple50

You are a bigot and probably a bully who wants to take away the rights of all Christians.

  • There are anti-bullying laws. I guess those don't apply when kids want to bully.

  • so I have the right of free speech, but when I oppose gay rights it's not right? real ethics there...

  • Comment removed

  • @generalarchives It is alright to say that you don't agree with their views or way of life. To be cruel, insult, or bully them is totally not ok. Neither is trying to impose your view points on them about how to live their private lives. . If I started saying cruel things about your private life or trying to impose laws saying what you could and could not do in your life that didn't actually affect others in anyway would you be ok with it?

  • @generalarchives Sure you can oppose gay rights if you want. It makes you an asshole, but you can do it.

  • Christainity is a cancerous growth on the universe . it MUST be stopped !!!!!

  • @RLP1972 : Shouted the man in the mob!

  • Comment removed

  • It's nice to see all of the dislikes. it makes me have faith in my fellow human being to know that people who support the bullying of gay kids are shunned like the filth that they are. and trust me folks, anyone who says its ok to bully another person is filth plain and simple.

  • this kids racist

  • The people who wants this passed is an insult to Christians everywhere

  • Christians do not have to fuckimg right to bully gay people, it is not a choice, you are born that way, Christians can express their opinions but not at someones expense, that's a oathetic excuse for bald hetero Christians to feel safe!

  • oh why not make abortion legal as well u christian fuckers no matter what u call it protecting ur religious belief fuck ur belief u have no right to bully a gay person. im straight but that doesnt mean i have the right to bully another person NOT EVEN FOR RELIGION PLUS ALL RELIGIONS R WRONG ON HOMOSEXUALITY AND IF U DONT BELIEVE ASK URSELF IF THERE IS A GOD Y WOULD HEWANT YOU TO BULLING ONE OF HIS CREATIONS AND HOMO. IS NOT A CHOICE dumbasses

  • so "christians" want to pick on gay kids, but when obama oks birth control pills for women with insurance through a religious organization, "christians" start crying like a bunch of bitches

  • @chriskoob That's because bullying a child to death isn't a mortal sin, like having sex without the possibility of procreating is!

  • If they said all those things to "gay" kids...they would be right. They are sodomites, they are unnatural and perverted, and they will go to Hell if they don't repent. Simple as that. There is nothing wrong with informing someone of the truth.

  • @ShenMerrick truth is youre insane. you cant argue that.

  • @dayweed85a How do you figure that? Jesus constantly told the truth. His whole life all he did was tell the truth. Repent and be forgiven, don't and be damned. What's wrong with that?

  • @ShenMerrick im sure you think thats the truth.. insane people often do.

  • @ShenMerrick

You're a misinformed ignorant hick. What? It's the truth. Nothing wrong with that, right?

  • @luminaeus Misinformed? Yeah ok...right. And what makes you think I'm a hick? We don't have accents in text, newb.

  • @ShenMerrick - Jesus said that people like you are damned.

  • @ShenMerrick You're unnatural and perverted, and you're going to the Underworld if you don't convert to the religion of Gurgle. The Book of Gurgle told me so. And it's the truth.

  • im not gay, im agnostic, should i have the right to run in a church and beat the shit out of ppl the believe in the fuckin easter bunny???

  • @MrKalashnikov47 Who is doing this? A million years ago, I went to high school with a now famous musician whose name you would recognize. He was, probably is gay. The worst thing that happened to him was people made snide remarks about him. In the same town where I saw the blood on the floor of a little store where some white kids did a drive by shooting and killed a black kid in a little store, the kid a total stranger. Gays say they suffered that kind of treatment? BS&W.

  • @JRobbySh Yes. Gays are killed for being gay. You obviously don't read much on that. A man was burned & beaten to death because he was gay. So many women have been beaten, raped and killed because they are lesbians. Tina Brandon was raped, shot and killed because she liked women. Mathew Shepherd beaten to death. Larry King was shot & killed in front of all his classmates by another classmate because he was gay. A man shot & killed his daughter's girlfriend in Texas.

  • @nevermanda We are a nation of 300 million and murders happen ever day. Don’t give me random events and claims this compares with the systematic terrorism and the public policies that was used to enforce racial segregation up until the 1960s. As a Southerner, I am almost moved to contempt by the efforts of the Gay lobbyists to equate the two things, because I was there when this was all going on. In short there were NO gay pogroms.

  • @JRobbySh what a (Southern) moron you are. No, most homosexuals are not bisexuals. Wherever you got that bullshit it's invalid. In fact, more women than men are bisexual, and there are twice as many gay men as gay women. And as far as the "gay lobbists" go, you live in a fucking country where the elected officials stand in our faces and oppose gay marriage. WTF country do you live in? The whining of the religious right drowns out any attempt the gay lobby has to make our case for damn sure.

  • @lisztnut : Christopher Plummer just got nominated for an Oscar for playing the type of character that gay activists says is a common occurance. Not you say it is all BS. What I said is common knowledge. In fact both the old Greeks and the modern Turks, as well as among the products of English schools, there were lots of AC/DC characters. Among libertiines, either boys or girls will do. Or sheep for that matter. Lust is indiscriminate.

  • @JRobbySh I would be happy to post videos for you if you believe in your own fantasized mind that all of these events "never happened". I am so sorry that you live under a rock. I feel bad for you.

  • @AndyJB2005 Using ad hominem for ironic affect to get them 'right wing' idiots to understand, sadly I don't think most will realise what I am doing : /

  • Don't we all have the freedom of speech anyway?

  • Jesus was a homo. He sucked dicks regularly. Why do you think he had 12 men around him all the time.

  • @kotapaka he also kissed them and refered to one of them as his beloved. the last supper probably ended in a circle jerk.

  • @johnnythesailorman : . Now this was true of the Greeks, such as Socrates. Different culture. Jews stoned gay men, just like the Muslims. The two groups got along like Jews and Arabs today, or oil and water.

  • @JRobbySh but jesus did like cock in his mouth. I know this because i have a close personal relationship with him. he tells me ever night. every night jesus says "mrrrphm hrmmp rphmm blarrbmprphm"

  • @johnnythesailorman Didn’t I read about you in the Screwtape letters. You are a hater are you not. Are you eating grass now?

  • How hard is this? Live your life how you want stop interfering in someone else's why is it so heard for christians to get that? Why must we attack gays, and force kids in public schools to learn Christian principles? If it was the best way it would have already happened obviously it isnt.

I propose that if this law passes then everyone shows exactly how stupid it is by abusing the hell out of it...under the name of god and your christian religion bully everyone else until Law makers fix it

  • @FilmGeek2000 Hate to tell you this, but English law is based on Christian principles.

  • @JRobbySh Oh I know English Law is based on that, and so is the public school system but as time changes so do principles...if we wanted christianity to rule over america we would keep it around everywhere. The difference is that the Christians are still forcing the occupy everything agenda. Public Schools, Marriage laws, abortions and what else...leave people alone and they'd leave you alone plain and simple.

  • @FilmGeek2000 “As time changes so do principles?” Exactly what does that mean? I know that men abandon principles and adopt others. Sometimes they abandon good principles and adopt bad ones. Edmund Burke foresaw that by uprooting all that underlay the Old Regime and planting totally anew, they were taking a great risk. So it ended up that a government founded on “the Rights of Man,” was soon threatening the liberty of everyone who disagreed with them, taking every disagreements as threat.

  • @JRobbySh You do realize that the majority of governments that have threatened the rights of the people are actually Christian ones? Lets see our current government with all its BS led by Christian principles, England and all its problems during the middle ages to current led by christian principles and I hope you do know that every Nazi in the 3rd Reich was a Christian and how many Jews did they kill? Exactly. We dont need christianity to have good principles. We are better without them.

  • @FilmGeek2000 : Who decides what our rights should be? The principles of our free government were laid down by Christians. You find nothing like this is imperial/communist China, or in the Muslim empires. None of the totalitarian regimes of the 20th century were Christian, or even religious Not fascism --Mussolini was an open atheist, Hitler a lapsed Catholic, Stalin, also an atheist. Ditto Mao. They came up with their own principles, which amounted to an idolotry of power.

  • @JRobbySh First, Catholics, Protestants, Mormons, Lutherans are all just faces of Christianity. I love how every Christian was pro Hitler even during the Holocaust but only when the atrocities were denounced did suddenly they start the "Oh Hitler wasnt a real Christian" yeah I would have disassociated myself from him as well. SImple fact, you people have no say in how another group lives their lives, two guys want to get married how in the world is that your business? Its not your Business!

  • @FilmGeek2000 ;I suggest you read the Diaries of Dr, Goebbels if you want to know what the Nazis thought of Christianity. Oh, they enlisted Christians, and they used religious language. May Catholic bishops noted that Hitler had never repudiated his faith and that he was not responsible for the marginalization of Christian institutions and the defamation of Catholic priests and for the radical racism of some of his underlings. They so wanted to be good Germans!

  • @JRobbySh

Christian principles, eh? The bible is full of laws and commandments. Kids talk back? Kill them. Neighbors not the same religion as you? Kill them. Neighboring town is a different religion? Kill them all, men women children livestock and burn the town to cinders just to be sure. Don't eat pork. Don't eat shellfish. Don't hang a man and leave his corpse up overnight.

Do you consider that to be moral behavior? You don't? I thought you got your morality from god? Oh well.

  • @luminaeus i like you :)

  • @luminaeus You forget that the neighbors were also trying to kill them. The main purpose of the LAW was to regulate the lives of the Hebrews, who were bound in covenant with God. Breaking the Law was to break covenant. We Christians believe that the LAW was a true but incomplete guide for the people of God, and that the true face of God is Jesus. But like the Jews we still break covenant. Be imitators of me, he said. But we really don’t, not most of us.

  • @luminaeus christ only gave christians one commandment, love thy neighbor. the old testament is not christian doctrine, what christ taught is. christ never said to hate anyone only to focus your love on the people who need it most. maybe i'm stupid but that sounds like rapists, murderers, liars, cheats, and thieves. oh, and gays if you really think they're an abomination. stop whining and be a christian, how's that for principles :)

  • @bigncornfed

You call yourself a Christian and yet you clearly haven't read your own damn Bible.

Jesus himself said that only he who keeps the LAW can enter heaven. Matthew and Luke plainly state that the law still applies.

  • @FilmGeek2000 : It is gays who are doing all the rioting, like in Occupy this that and everywhere. With you, it is never live and let live.

  • @JRobbySh If the Christians werent attacking the gays then the gays wouldnt be attacking the Christians. See its simple logic, if a group is attacking me for absolutely no reason whatsoever other than their own bigotry, then naturally Im going to want to attack them. Especially when they are in my business and in something that doesnt affect them in anyway shape or form. If the gays werent fighting the Christians then the gays would be morons. Stand up for your rights and fight.

  • @FilmGeek2000 You throw rocks and complain because the other guy’s head is damaging your rock. Who was it who rioted after the California vote? It wasn’t the Mormons.

  • @JRobbySh The first thing didnt make any sense. But for the second...can you please explain who gave you the right to cast judgement on someone, take away their rights to live their lives how they choose?? Who said that all Christians can keep other people from being married? Cause I dont remember when that happened. Im sure the bible will be thrown in so for simple logical sake, Bible was written by a bunch of guys not by god. Leave people alone and they will leave you alone. Real Simple.

  • @FilmGeek2000 : Standing up for your rights is one thing; attacks on the rights of others is something else. The tactic of the Gay Rights movement has been to assert that the question of the morality of homosexuality is closed that any further discussion is not permitted, and that if you try to speak we will shout you down and repeat the word” bigot" ad nauseum. And, of yes, declare the First Amendment right of religious liberty to be null of void, outdated.

  • @JRobbySh You say the christians are wrong because they want to void your rights, and then you say you want their rights voided? Sorry but you now have zero credibility :(

  • @JRobbySh no, there are not two equal sides to the gay rights debate. there is 1 open minded, reasonable, and RIGHT side, which is pro gay, and then there is the crazy, religious, WRONG side of the debate which is anti gay. Anyone who fights to put down the rights of a minority of people is WRONG always always always forever. and a period at the end of the sentence! and an exclamation point on the end of that one.

  • @threadysparrow : Talk about self-the self righteous. Don’t break an arm patting yourself on the back.

  • @JRobbySh and, yes I would say that anyone who opposes the rights of gay people is a bigot. You said it first, but you're right. Just as opposing the rights of blacks made you a bigot. This iss no different with gay people. Homosexuality is no more a moral issue than is our race or gender. It is morally neutral.

  • @lisztnut . Since when? It has never been so until now. But what is it about homosexuality that makes it like either race or gender? Do you think it another race or another gender? Are they not just another interest group, looking out for themselves, and claiming the high ground so they can throw rocks at their critics with impunity? This is how they try to portray the Church and this is why they are trying to void the First Amendment.

  • @JRobbySh what has warmed my heart, as a college educator, is to see the young generation turn away from Christianity, and support the rights of gay people. Know why? It's because the Christian bigots are doing themselves more harm than good. Four times as many people worldwide are losing a faith as gaining one. This is clear sign that the Christian "message" is losing. Young people view religiously based bigotry as odious and unacceptable. It's about time. This is the fault of Christians

  • @lisztnut If that is the message they are receiving, and the only message they are receiving. I am reminded of a comment by Lord Russell, that he went to school and was taught religion by agnostics. Speaking of, Thomas Huxley famously commented in the 1890s about the decline in morality. He along with other Victorian gentlemen, hoped to retain Christian morality without faith.

  • @JRobbySh let's not forget that the KKK is a Christian organization, and more specifically you MUST be Protestant to join. The tactics of the religious right regarding gay marriage in today's world is no different from the fear tactics of the KKK when they tried to surpress the civil rights movement of blacks. The parallels are clear. And, those Republican candidates who now verbally oppose gay marriage will be viewed the same way we now see George Wallace in 20 years. Mark my words.

  • @lisztnut : As you indicate, the KKK was much worried about the power of the Catholic Church, which is why it was in the ‘20s a very respectable organization--until the scandal in Indiana discredited it. Your movement clearly has that fear. The Klan was in the same camp as Maggie Higgins, aka Margaret Sanger, and you in the camp of her spiritual children, Planned Parenthood.

  • @JRobbySh how is "segregation now, segregation forever" any different from: "I believe marriage is between one man and one woman?" Same hate speech different year.

  • @lisztnut : How is it any different? The history. African-Americans were an ethnic group which was set apart from other Americans as a group by slavery.

  • do you realize that the majority of pedophiles that have abused and continue to abuse children are married straight men with wives, children, good homes and christians? being gay has nothing to do with wanting little kids thats just a christian scare tactic seriously there is no point in this argument. People have the right to marry and live their lives how they should just like you do. How is it wrong? Cause a book written by man a long time ago says so?

  • @FilmGeek2000 give up man.. its impossible to use common sense with these people. i dont understand them. i tried to reason with them, but it didnt work. all i know is that religion is bad for people. we would be much happier now if there were no religion to stir up shit. i really believe that.

  • It's stupid that anyone even actually has to think about this issue. You are not allowed to use your rights as a US citizen to trespass on others' rights. For example, you are not allowed to yell, "Fire!" in a crowded theater.
