It's true. The graphics are ok, but they're the main feature. It'll take you about six hours to complete all three single campaigns and the replay value is next to none. The multiplayer mode is also extremely watered down, with only a handfull of maps and very limited player customization.

I have a question and it would be great if anybody could answer it for me! If you were playing the predator in AVP3, would there be a bar of how much energy you have to use towards your weapons such as the plasma caster, camouflage and mines? Or is there no energy bar? Meaning could you stay camouflaged as long as you want and shoot as many times with the plasma caster as you want for infinite.

no there is a sertan bar that indicates how much energy you have leaft. I dont know if its still like this in avp3 but in the previous game you had to charge your energy with a item that filled up your bar. The plasma caster consumes alot of energy so after 2-3 fires its empty. But cloaking usually holds very long

by camoflge you mean cloak right? well there is a engery bar for the mines and plamsa caster but not for the cloak you can stay cloak until you hit someone (or something) or you go in water or you uncloak yourself

@blaibavianinn It seems that the Net pistol (or Gun) has disappeared. Confirmed weapons of Predator that the demo showed off are the blaster cannon, proximity mines, disc and spear.

@Limehammers Wait for the complete game....or watch trailers around Youtube or other websites. The single player campaign is like the old version, so very long. Multiplayer, furthermore, features many gametypes. You're right, in the demo version we tasted little fun. But with complete version you'll see infection mode (all marines and an alien that can kill the opponents and infect them), predator hunt and survivor, not counting the standard gametypes (tdm, ffa, racial dm, etc... )

You can cloak forever, but as soon as you attack or if you take damage it deactivates. Aliens cant "see" you but they can see an aura around you and can see you through walls aswell, so cloak is useless against them.

in the old rebelilon games on the PC nothing made you invisible from the aliens. You had an energy meter that ran your plasma weapons and steath shields

Im pretty sure you can stay invisible for as long as you want but the levels are made so you cannot avoid the Marines at certain times, and it doesnt work against Aliens, they smell and hear you, plus they got no eyes, so its useless, but they cannot small or hear your mines and the like making them vulnerable to Predator traps.

In this the Predator can stay cloaked perminatly. However Aliens don't see normally they sense things so that's why it doesnt work.

They should really fix it so I never uncloak if u attack, at least the blades, cause in the movie the first predator, it was cloaked almost the whole movie, so at least let u attack with te blades and not uncloak, that's just cheap

the health is at the lower left part of the HUD and you can use the glow sticks or whatever to heal yourself

none of the races worked like that in the previous game, although I wouldn't be all that surprised if the Marine did in this one. The predator will heal himself manually (think of Battlefield Bad Company) while the alien will heal himself be eating his enemies (umm.... if you've ever played that Jaws game that's the best I can compare it to). The marines always used healthpacks but those have gone out of style as of late...

im sick of seeing people whinning about predator going visible when dropping mines/ shooting. if he was always invisible, the game would be like impossible. get a grip people, in avp2 the predator became visible as well, and it was an excellent game. i personally think they need to not make the plasma caster homing, as it wasnt homing in the movies. maybe just make the shots go faster

Well the Aliens can see ther Predator wether he is invisible or not.The invisibility or cloak is only for marines, and they should of made it that if the Predator shot any type of weapon the marines could see a surge in the shield with the nightvision, I mean come on even if he thows a mine he still becomes visible!!!

They made this on purpose because it would make the predator to powerfull, but the Predator is suposed to be advanced scietifically so this would be a problem for him.I dont know i just dont approve this, if they wanted to make him less powerfull, they could of made it so that when he would use the plasmacaster while being cloaked the marines would see a surge of something with the nighvision or something like this, cuz they made him become visible even if he throws a mine i mean come on!!!

Rebellion is back and it only took them about 11 years to return to the great game that was AvP1.

AvP2 was dope, and I loved it, but the 1st one I always thought was so much better and yes I agree that Monolith did kinda just sit on the sequel.

in close combat strongest is xenomorph ->predator->marine

-->at range marine ->predtor-> xenomorph this makes the game pretty balanced predtor would have 2 engage marines up close and xenomorphs at range this makes the game very balanced and makes it very focused on skill if u go running at a marine or predtor as an xenomorph u r gonna die so its all about the timing

Aliens are fast and agile

Predators are stealthy and have efficient weapons (mostly energy and melee)

noobs may be good with big guns, but AVP2 Veterans will always beat them, i never got beat by a single person in AVP2 over 5 years of Multiplayer, i was also in one of the toughest CLans in North America, but even my clanmates feared my presence, and i was ALWAYS a Predalien which was the slowest, but i never had any problems killing people, i even learned to Dodge the Smart Disc without ducking behind na obstacle, and thats something Noobs cant do, it takes extreme timing
