Back in the 70's when this movie was made, the point it was trying to make got made. Teenagers identified with it. The song One Tin Soldier was a hit and sent a powerful message. Compassion and Respect caught on. It was a great movie done on a small budget and was a huge success. This generation would just not get it which is a shame. It would be picked apart for cheesy acting, low budget etc. The message made the show a success.

Every detail in all Billy Jack movies was very believable except of course the time they tried to tell us someone raped his so called wife. Well, maybe if the rapist just got released the same day from a twenty year stint in a maximum security, solitairy cell where he was not able to masturbate for twenty years and they forced him to watch girl on girl porn for hours a day, maybe, just maybe then.
