  • I am glad that I was not at this show.

  • @pinoyblues69 hey bro..we are never too old to do what we want to do

  • @beachdog67 not anymore bro. got too old for acid...but i never grow old with the music.keeps me young...this is my son's account by the way and there's no gap between us because of the dead's music.

  • @beachdog67 yea! friends of bill chattin it up on one of the best versions of one of my favorite songs of all time birds of a feather tend to flock together i spose

  • I will never get tired of Jerry... he is so missed .... we are all so thankful we have his music!

  • Just the bwst ever !

  • of course you can hear the cello playing the bass line

  • Jerry... you make me smile every time I hear you, Thank you. Miss you my brother.

  • Driving across nebraska last summer I hit repeat and played this song for about 2 hours singing along before I realized I had hit repeat. My kids were asleep - now everytime I play it or WALSTIB, they sing along with all the words. When I got my Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs vinyl of American Beauty 30 yrs. ago, this song would always reduce me to a joy-filled tripping laugh-loving baby . Still does....Peace

  • like going home for me let go let jerry meds for my soul

  • any one who doesnt like this song obviously doesnt know good music

  • 2 Dislikes??? HOW CAN YOU DISLIKE THIS TUNE? OMFG! :O

  • @Redhouseab somebody removed their dislike. Maybe this tune changed somebody's day

If I knew the way, i would take you home

  • music of the spheres. thank you for this posting.

  • 1 of the best songs ever

  • yeah baby

  • Beautiful intimate setting on this tour...unlike anything I've ever heard. Also worth tracking down is the one night Jerry did a solo acoustic show...before he called John Kahn and begged him to come out.

The solo stuff shows him in a very exposed fashion, marvelous warts and all!

  • @AoxomoxoA

I'd love to hear the show you wrote about here, any suggestions for how to track it down? Many thanks!

  • @Indigoblique the date was 4/10/82.

  • Given me chills..

  • This is so not what the movement was about. Did any of you go to shows? What happened to you? Sometimes you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right!

  • What?? @ a show in Indy, all I remember was picking up my matches, and was closin the door... I had another one of those damn flashes.. I'd been there before....

I been all around this world... and a few others! ha! Oh how wonderful those show's were, and people...

  • Grammar Nazis FTW!

  • I don't hear Kahn. Is it me?

  • I'm afraid it is :)

  • @ridetahoe turn up the BASS, brother!

  • sorry channelsanature the lyrics say there is a fountain not made by the hand of men. jesus h christ

  • this is good killing music wouldnt have anything to think of except finishing the job funny i like heavy metal n punk but i dunno u can really hear the devil clearily in this music, i think its funny how people think the grateful dead is peace there punk is fuk half their audience is brain dead this music is very errie to me just seams fitting to take someones life to one of their albums both very powerful n confusing many of the same emotions you feal

  • You know what else is very confusing? Your lack of punctuation. Although, as you say, half of the people that like this music are brain dead; at least we can spell and use punctuation correctly.

  • I heard Jerry Garcia was gay. Is this true?

  • well i dont personally no the awnser to that only jerry does but i do know he had a wife and i belive two daughters maybe more i forget. i would assume hes not gay because he didnt really openly support gays n u no how gays r they gotta rub their homosexuality in everyones face

  • Hahahaha! I was just kidding! Just fucking around. I know Jerry wasn't gay. I love Jerry. Jerry was the man.

  • dude, fuck u u homophobic. just enjoy the vibes, happiness is all that matters free urself from hate, maybe u should hallucinate, or not even. just live man, the world will show u the oneness of the nothingness that is everything one day if ur lucky.

  • The fact that you are accusing people of being brain dead is the reason you should use correct punctuation. We call that a double standard Skum. And the thing is; you are being graded, thus the "thumbs up" and "thumbs down" icons to the side of these comments.

And if you could amuse me briefly, can you explain to me the reason for alternating capital and lower case letters when spelling out your name?

Finally; yes a bunch of "stinking f*ucking hippy's" are above you.

  • hey! what is wrong with you guys?? you guys have nothing better to do then pick fights on line? relax......

  • @SkUmDiCtAtOr ummmm. you were discussing murder to the tune of the Grateful Dead. I think YOU are brain dead. and creepy as hell

  • @SkUmDiCtAtOr MURDERED YOUTHS SANITY????? you are really out there, bub. the grateful dead helped me regain my sanity. i was extremely unhappy throughout highschool and this was one song i learned on guitar that really helped me get through things. think before you say. just because you have free speech doesnt mean you should speak freely. killing isnt natural for humans. animals kill each other. humans shouldnt kill each other. death is natural, not murder.

  • @SkUmDiCtAtOr it seems I find your ignorance everywhere. first on Pat the Bunny, now the Grateful Dead? As I remember, your profile page is full of you bragging about how much you do pills. Now which one is false hope? LSD or prescription drugs?

  • grammar nazi

  • funeral SONG FOR DEAD HEADS FOR MANNY MOONS LOST BROTHERS&SISTERS ALONG THE WAY HOME
