  • Great flyer.

  • excuse me but i couldn't understand the exact position of the battery? is it in front of the plane? and where are the other electronics? for example can you put out the servo anytime you want? as i understood you made many differences because the plan is not very appropriate for rc conversion?? if it doesn't put you to any trouble can you take some detailed photos of your plane and send me?

  • @sitkisiyril I have another video of this model that shows the magnetic hatches. watch?v=ZEBkU5sIeTM

  • how do you put the battery in??

  • @sitkisiyril I made the front belly of the aircraft fuselage removable, it stays held on with micro magnets. The front cowl is also removable and is held on by magnets. The plane has a small shelf i built in the front that the battery velcros to. All I had to do was pull the belly off and put the battery in, then replace the belly and the magnets held it very securely.

  • hi, i'm about to build a cessna 170 too and i want it to fly with an electric motor. This will be my first time so i need some info...what is the max weight that the plane can fly? and does your plane have aileron? and is this set appropriate for the model

    18-11 2000kv Micro Brushless Outrunner (10g)

TURNIGY Plush 6A /.8bec/6g Speed Controller

  • @sitkisiyril The plane does not have Ailerons, Rudder and elevator is all it has. I do not know its maximum flyable weight, mine weighs almost 4 ounces (110 Grams).

  • great job! Very nice to watch it fly. Congratulations!

The music is actually Vivaldi... from the 4 seasons (winter, I think.).

  • Beautiful work! I love the fact that the new electric components finally make it possible to fly these old free-flight kits. Wonderful job!

  • is this supposed to have a motor??

  • @igenther99 No, this airplane would normally have a rubber band driven propeller for power and no movable control surfaces. This plane is highly modified to be Remote controlled unit. The kit to build the model is about $25.

  • Very fine! My hat's off to you.

  • nice flight

  • This is awesome. I have an unbuilt kit next to me and will probably do the same.

  • Castle Creations Phoenix 10 brushless ESC

    E-Flite park 250 Brushless motor

    (2) Spektrum 6.0 gram digital servos

    Spektrum AR6100 2.4 ghz receiver

Thunder Power 480 mah 2s LiPo

  • hey man can you message me the gear

(motor, servos, etc) thank you very much

  • very very nice plane and colorshame!! can i know which are the motor, esc, battery, etc..??? thanks!

  • What happened with your Thomas Morse Scout? I built one about 35 years ago and yours was the first RC version I had seen. Did it fly?

  • The scout had a bad motor and was so much work to remove that I gave up on it and put the r/c quipment in to the cessna, scout is still around and looks fine, just no longer will be r/c project.

  • covering is tissue and dope..old school I know. The back wheel has been replaced with a single piece of music wire bent to make a skid.

  • What do you use for covering?? I also love cessnas.....and Vivaldi! Coincidence?

  • Right above the landing gear and underside of the wing, there are spots for it.
