My audacity won't record anything. The option that lets you change it from microphone to stereo mix remains blank and I can't even click on it. I've uninstalled it and re-downloaded it a bunch of times and it's still the same. Even the beta version was the same. What should I do?

probualy because you have a SigmaTel sound card check your sound card on the volume menu goto options and it tells you if it isnt SigmaTel audio card then i dunno

I'm a dj and very often i record music in gigs. At the end of the recording i have an audio file with all the songs played in. i know how to convert it into mp3 but is it possible to set track points on it so it's easier to listen to it in car or home,without having to listen to it from the begining and fast forward till the desired song, but still without gaps between tracks? Can it be done with audacity or sony acid or maybe Nero, and how? Any help please. Sorry for bad english.

check out my vid on how to get free songs off the internet using audacity. if you currently download songs off of limewire, there is high risk of downloading viruses. useing audacity, u dunt have to download anything, plus its legal. and obviously its free.
