  • ...SMELL THAT BURNED RUBBER!!! =D

  • this is.. EPIC...

  • It's not Top Gear! It's 5th gear

  • 1:14 that sounds awesome ,music to my ears

  • only if Steve McQueen was alive today

  • Makes me happy owning an Evo 6 GSR ;)

  • @dacarfreak2000 I envy you. ;)

  • @SuperMario811 I think youre gonna envy me more cause I modified my evo to have 480ish Bhp. All from an upgraded turbocharger and brand new intercooler from cosworth and installed sport suspensions from eibach. :)

  • @dacarfreak2000 See, I want to live in Europe for a little while. Mark my words: I WILL DRIVE AN EVO VI TME before I turn 30! LOL

  • @SuperMario811 Good. Evo 6 and Subie Imprezas WRX cost cheap in the UK.

  • @dacarfreak2000 How much does an Evo VI TME usually run? I know their numbers are quite low, but do you know the average price figure in GBP?

  • @SuperMario811 My Evo has 476 BHP and gets around 14 MPG which sucks actually but I dont use it that often. A decent one can get 6000 GBP but a really good one can fetch up 9500 GBP

  • @dacarfreak2000 Err, that's well over $15,000 USD for a good one, and if I try to import it LEGALLY, it'll cost far more than that. However, I can BUILD an Evo VI TME on the 1998-2002 US Mitsu Mirage chassis. Many have done it before, and I just discovered this. Here's some awesome proof: forums. evolutionm. net/evo-show-shine/364202-98-mirage-evo-6-5-tme.html

  • @SuperMario811 My evo 6 is actually not road legal. It's a right hand drive Japanese original that had 1 owner its a GSR not a TME though. I drive a Toyota Hilux for towing this car to the track and for purposes I need to do like groceries and college.

  • @dacarfreak2000 Ahh, I see. Would you prefer it being road legal?

  • @SuperMario811 Well I would if it was the only car I have but with the Hilux around I would only use the car for track days. Im saving up money right now just to join a Willow springs race event.

  • @dacarfreak2000 Nice, and good luck with that! Man, I wish I had an Evo VI right now, though. LOL

  • i feel like playing grandturismo 2 again haha

  • damn tiff needel he got balls init!

  • I'll still pick the TME over the other Evo's anyday... but... apparently i can't grasp my hands on one... since I'm in the U.S... so i guess i'll have to go with the New and Improve Evo X MR... c(o^_^o)p... bye bye... Evo VI TME... *sniff sniff...

  • Lancer Evolution II--->OMG

    amazing

  • Whats the name of the song at 1:10? Also used in many Powermat commercials.

  • This is not Top Gear, or 5th Gear, it's from Tiff's own video/DVD called 'Burning Rubber' in which he showed how to perform various moves in front, rear and four wheel drive cars.

  • @JamiedaBeast13 No it isn't. It was Tiff's own video called 'Burning Rubber'.

  • Some poor guy would've bought this car...

  • EVO VI... best car I ever owned!

  • Why in those shows, the testers only drift, drift, drift, drift, drift...?? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE drifting, but when it have to be drift. These are test drive, not test drift... I think

  • @Vladamor most of its powersliding.

  • @GeorgeHurst08 But come on... It's a test drive, not a full power demonstration. Ok, some of them are funny and beautiful... but keep been a test drive. Anyway, Stig solve the problem later... lol

  • @Vladamor This was from Tiff's video about power sliding; not a review.

  • I got an Evo X in Canada but I still think the VI was the best Evo ever made =)

  • i was enjoying that untill Tiff Needle showed up!!

  • @smokey66669 I enjoyed reading comments until I read yours!

  • £ 31,000 would be about $ 47,740 during those days' exchange rates for an Evo VI. What made it so expensive in the UK? Was it VAT & other fees?

Today an Evo X GSR can be had for about $ 33,600, forgetting about the MR for comparisons. What's missing in this equation?

  • Im after the evo 6 tme best ever made! aus $22,000 NIce second hand of course 50,000k on clock nice

  • They [finally] sold the Evo VI in the Philippines in '97, left-hand-drive, and AFAIK everywhere else it was sold it was in right-hand-drive countries.

I was sooooo jealous seeing one, in white, once on vacation. Nope, I don't think anyone in the US has enough money to bribe anybody here or there to ship a VI Stateside and get away with it.

  • deag: Yes, the Evos were "commercialized" in a way. Without WRC Group N specs to live-up to, Mitsu had free reign to make the VIII-onwards more "road friendly". As for "americanization", yeah, all the added safety&smog features added weight to the car (Evo VI still doesn't meet NHTSA crash standards).

...Then there's the widened seats to accommodate [presumably] fat-ass US drivers...

  • i got one too- in red fortunately- and I love it!!! Best car in the world. Video under my name.

  • @hunspikey 14 liters per 100 km??? or more??? i thinking in buy one 6

  • I got one, kick arse machine, Tata Suby pilots.

  • for some reason i dont like the new evo's as much as i like the evo 6 is there anyway I can get an evo 6 in america

  • this is fith gear

    but very nice evo tme

  • nope...this is topgear!!!

the host tiff needle is one of topgear host back then!!

  • wow had no idea!!

  • I liked this thing since i saw it on tv at a rally or something.

    :)

  • best Evo ever!!! AKA Evo 6.5

  • Evo 6s and 9s are the best.I just hate how theyve been portrayed in the fast and furious movies.

  • unless you enjoy turbo lag and a wasted 6th gear in a evo 9 ill stick to my evo 7

  • Evo 7s are bad ass, actually probably better than 9s,but I think every turbo has some lag,and I believe the 6th gear is for gass mileage, maybe not, though, but I know in new corvettes it automatically shifts to 6th at highway speeds to save gas by using lower rpms.anyway, all evos are bad ass, some are just more bad ass than others.

  • its jap tho init and they have the biggest moddifing scene in the world.

  • @rockerdude29

Wrong! Coming from an actual Evo owner. Evo VI is truly one of the best. Evo IX is plagued with understeer for a 4WD, although still solid and balanced, but it's mostly just the over-rated poster boy for Evo's in the states. It looks slightly faster than what it really does in the actual road. Perfect for the Fast & Furious influenced american adience.

  • @EyelessCatharsis Well,Id prefer an IX over a VII or VIII,I love the IX MRs,but the evo VI is my favorite,i just like them better with exposed fog lamps rather than the plastic caps over them.which is the quicker of the IXs RS or MR?

  • Coisa orroroza vao se fude tudo que comentou seus filhos de uma bitch

  • i like the evo 5 and the evo 6,besides im an impreza fan they´re awesome machines..

  • yes it had,evo 7 and 8 became bigger and easier to drive.... thats americanization

  • Comment removed

  • I think this is Fifth Gear not Top gear..

  • I LOVE EVO 6 TME

  • THE BEST ON THE BEST EVO IN EVER

  • The most beautiful EVO

  • if they see a dodge truck towed they would enjoy this

  • The LAST REAL Evo made before they commercialized/americanized..........

  • I like the 7th and 9th evolution but the evo X is something horrible and the last STi too.

  • @nal1110 mmmm I know what you mean.... BUT..... have you seen the Evo 9 MR ???????? That car is sex on wheels, but still i prefer the 6 TME =)

  • tiff!!!!!

  • for me,VI TME RS in white

  • The Mithubishi Evo Thix...! gotta love Tiff :P

  • The word fasters EVO

  • best EVO ever!!!

  • Raw power....

    God bless mitsubishi...

    Alltime classic EVO.

  • the evo vi tme is easily the best looking evo, not fussed on the x

  • yea i love evo VI, classic evo.

  • those are the most gourgous cars ever to me the VI

  • Nice!! At 0:24: Is that a dead bird on the runway???

  • Its a volvo :D

  • lmao!! 31,000 pounds LMAO!.. that's the price u morons! hahahaha.. i'm sorry man - that was just too funny....!

  • LMAO.

  • pounds is money where top gear is from..

  • TME Goverzz

  • I thought I've seen everything there is to see on the evo, but this is new to me. I wish I still had my evo to go fling around a few more times now... GJ Tiff!

  • Too bad EVO's are sold in Canada...stupid law on front crash tests or something say the intercooler or the bumper end up crumpling too far inward or something. Supposidly it doesn't make a difference in safety. Only EVO that will be sold in Canada will be the EVO X.

I guess someone could buy one and bring it into Canada just can't put it on the road...race car or rally car I guess are the only options for the EVO.

  • they probably gonna be in dealers around 2010~~ yub 2 more years~~ oh btw, i saw a MR on sale for 17k or something but the only problem with that is its almost completely crushed

  • damn that guy can drift!

  • lol.. yes he can, but not good ... he doesnt drift it like a 4x4... to much steering.. in the powerslide all the wheels should be pointing in the same direction ...

  • woooo

  • whats the name of the song playing in the background at the start and at the end?

  • and beside, tiff's been in both shows.

  • correct =)

  • Tiff is such a great driver, he really makes fifth gear worth watching

  • I think its Top Gear because when the EVO 6 came out Fifth Gear didn't exists a that time.

  • u bin smokin crack spencerpyle its FIFTH GEAR

  • spencerpyle youre an idiot. this is fifth gear

  • the best evo ever

  • oh my,... 4 wheel powerslides! looks like so much fun!

    Tiff is the best driver!

  • THIS IS FIFTH GEAR NOT TOP GEAR
