sound wise motif xs is better.. but technlogy and function wise, oasys us way better. its open architect which means that upgrades are easier and more flexible. its software based, so that makes it possible for new versions of software to be added, with newer and better sounds. also, it has a cx3 organ module inbuilt and a hard drive. for now i agree motif xs is better sound wise, but not in the long run, and function wise....

Seen almost all of your youtube videos ebufford. Very nicely done. I'm about to buy a synth-keyboard & am seriosly considering a Fantom X7. I'm on the fence though, I'm also looking at a Yamaha Motif XS7 or even a KORG M3. In your humble opinion sir, which one is the "best"? Also, what about the Roland V-Synth GT? Is the V-Synth a step up from the current Fantom X models? Decisions,decisions. Thanks.

The Fantom has so many features in it, Hand trigger effects, sampling, skip back sampling (retains what u just played), audio recording etc. Hold off a bit, I have heard that there is a NEW Fantom on its way out with more features then ever!!!
